Yes the MM will, but not in a high load/high rpm application. It did not like the align motor and have seen it have issues with small outrunners in crawlers. I actually played with the programming on my friend's crawler and made it better. But it would still stall the motor sometimes and not be able to turn it over. I have had much more success with quark controllers for outrunner applications.

whats an ideal motor for the jazz 80a esc on, say, 16 cell nimh or 6s lipo for a e-revo?

About 1600kv on the motor, maybe a 10-11xl feigao.

I was using a Jazz 80-6-18 with a Feigao 11XL on 6s Lipo in my HB LSP Truggy and this combo worked great

I just got a 600XL but haven't had time to try it yet. It will be paired with my Barracuda 125 in my MGT. Hopefully these two will play nice with each other when powered by 7s2p A123 cells. I'll get around to trying it during my Christmas break next week. My goal is to crack the 50mph mark.
