Hey, what chassis is that? And also, what kind of arms are those you used to have? Looks like carbon fiber or something..

Looking good. As for the mounting the sway bar end links, How about using the threaded portion of the upper control arm. Thread the turnbuckle of the upper control arm through the end link of the sway bar. Or maybe find another way to mount it to the upper arm. I can't see the sway bar being less effective mounted to the upper control arm instead of the lower. Just throuwing out some ideas, would be a shame to mess with those CF lower arms either way.

I decided to go back to the stock arms... They are so much better, and i am going to want to bash this hard when it is done, so plastic stock arms FTW!

Ill keep the vantage arms and use them, when i race or something. But for now im happy with stock and easier point for mounting my sway bar.

I have loads of build pictures, but will keep all these for when i complete the truck and begin a proper build thread with entire write up and pics.

Here are some more teaser pics

Very nice, shiny and bling!
How heavy is ur skid plate?

Will u have any stickers or "shild/covers" for tvp holes?
Little stones and dirt will gather on skid plate if no tvp "shilds/covers" used.

I'm interested to see how the axle extenders hold up, that and the axles since I will be running the same thing on my 5th scale truggy conversion.

May have to give him a go, since those Stateside that claim to do custom work never seem to actually respond.

Thanks Dot... It is a bit of a hybrid now... I just want to take what i believe are the toughest areas of trucks and truggys and make a fast solid RC... more importantly, just be fun to build

Sparky... The chassis is based on the GCM Desertboy-17 chassis. But as this is my second one and i needed a custom one built so i could make my own areas for mounting .... Chris at GCM kindly offered to make me my own chassis to my preference, as it was my second one anyway.

Definitely hit chris up if you want something special!

anyway

I have been very busy this weekend with some DIY work... so not much time for the savage... plus im waiting on some solder and flux...

Anyway had an hour to fiddle today...

I have realigned the diff mount correctly now...

I just wanted to work on the wire mess that could occur if i dont get this right... So i wanted to see where everything would sit...

Some Wire Mesh to protect wiring.. .

BTW it isnt finished yet... So not all ends finalised

Black Mesh on Motor Wires

How ESC & Motor wires will eventually connect when i finish soldering of bullets.

How everything looks from below with the BEX and RX Case installed. _ servo wires obviously not pictured

Note the Wire Stay Holder at the front of the RX Box built into the plate. (THANKS DEJAN)

All Chassis drilling done and how it looks with Battery Box Mounts.

And One more

Cheers Mac!!

Not completed yet... but should be done very soon!

Waiting on a few little bits to complete like shock ball ends, shock oil, some more washers and i need a front bumper! OH AND I NEED A NEW STEERING SERVO!, i decided to use my ace servo as my brake servo and need a savox i think for my steering

Here are some more pics as it comes together

Directly From above
Steering Throw.

From Underneath... A little Upskirt shot ;) through my see through skid plate made from Bullet Proof Material! Shows off my internals nicely and will make fault finding easier if i have a prob with my centre diff

The Rear end is completely finished

So Close!!!
