Boat cooling coils, some sort or radiator, and a fan? You could use the hot water for tea when you are done.

close, but I didnt bother fitting it in the end- no way it would have stayed on the truck with my driving. As it is.... I cooked the hobbyshitty motor, but only after 2 hours of fun; 258*F this time. Annoying thing is I was just bringing the truck in to check temps- I didnt let it get over ~165*F during the first 2 runs with a123s. Ran great, ton of power and only a few little glitches on the radio (FM is nice, think its the ideal cheap upgrade to AM- will add a ferrite ring to the rx lead though just as a test). A123s didnt excede ~95*F, nor did the lipos though I killed the motor before they had a chance to really warm up. Ambient temp was ~50-60. I made a kick-ass video though, compared to my usual efforts. Will process it when my new pc arrives.

Peace...

Bad news:

Garhhh. My new PC died after one day- think its the CPU as it makes a funny crackling/scratching noise, even with the case and heat sink fans disabled. Anyways, whilst thats being sorted out (return to base warrenty thank God) I fixed up my old PC thankfully so I can still acess the internet/p0rn and not go mad.

Good news:

My Medusa 36-80-2000kv motor turned up today- super fast shipping by Mike and it even made it through customs without being hit-up for import taxes, despite being labelled as $73 value (price after voucher was applied). Looks like a very nice motor, very strong magnet and very notchy, so should put out a butt load of torque Im hoping- just what my truck needs. Interesting to see that the front face is very thick- medusa suggest 3-5mm screws for mounting, which will make it rock solid (slightly thicker than the hobbycity front face it appears). The shaft also has a flat spot, and it also has the short shaft sticking out the rear- will look into that fan add-on that medusa are planning, if I likes the look of it that is (fans are awesome!).

Will post up some pics tomorrow afternoon, and hopefully start work editing up that video of the last run.

That will be a nice motor no doupt.. I have thought about putting one in my genesis conversion. But a bit lower kv.
Lucky you, that you didn't have to mess with the customs. I always pray that my orders won't end up at them

Tell us how it runs then!

My only gripe/concern is that the leads are stiffer than Mike Hock after a marathon 'movie' session. They have solder running their whole length pretty much, so I wont be bending them back and forth- how they are in the pictures is how they will stay. I have monday and wednesday off work, so if the weather is good again, I'll get to see what this monster of a motor can do

WOO HOO!!! About time the steam roller got the kick in the pants it needed. The 36-70-2300 in my FLM maxx pushes it around like a toy on 4s. 5s is coming. We shall see how the 3.3 driveshafts like that power with those fat ass tires you have. Hey be carefull not ot hit your pal Mike hock when you are sitting on the ground trying to video and drive. The ladies will be upset with you.

What ladies would that be; Im a 26 y/o who plays with toy trucks, not too many hot birds drawn to me saddly...

Annoyingly, the weather has turned horrid again (rain/wind/hail/cold), so the Medusa test run will have to wait a while, meh.

Well, if you moved to the states the ladies would be all over the accent. I have been a bouncer for 10 years. All you would have to do is strike up a conversation and you would be set for the night. These women love it. I have seen it done. It is a long trip for some tail though. I also know alot of women that play with battery operated toys too!! I have been wondering why Erevonut has'nt stopped by the bar I work at. He lives close to me. Hope the weather dries up. I'm sure you will like the motor. Remember to tell the ladies you are a pro with battery operated toys, and can convert any they have to brushless!!!

Good news: 5 day weather forecast is for sunhine.
Good news: 2 weeks easter holiday coming up on 9/10 april.
Good news: finally finished editing the last video:

(might be unavailable for a little while, whilst its being approved/checked)

Good news: new 3906 motor mount arrived- stripped and lightly polished it (see below).

Bad news: one of my goldfish died. Thankfully, they only cost ~£3/ $4.5 to replace...
