USPS is pretty slack updating their systems sometimes. I always follow the tracking of my priority mail shipments, and probably 50% of the time its ok, and the other half just says something along the lines of 'electronic information has been lodged, this doesn't indicate we've received the parcel for delivery' - even after its been delivered to me.
Also, even shipping from the same store mine always seem to go take a different route from the shop to whatever airport they decide to use, so don't get to worried about your parcel, it'll come :)
I've recently had some shocking holdups in customs, with most of my parcels taking over a month to arrive - maybe something similar is happening there?

those numbers can probably considered confidential at castle. We've already been told the v2 failure rate is less than the mm failure rate. and the v1 I think a number was released (30%?)

I know that CC give a good servie, but i hope that a companie will came with a reliable controller, to play all summer long without be scared to connect the li-po pack on it.
At this time, this kind of controller don't exist yet
CC can give a good service, but if we have to send the controller 2, 3 or 4 time in a summer, this mean that our e-revo is on the bench more time than on the track
And you know like me Mike, here in Quebec, the summer is not very long, about 3 or 4 days

I can tell you for sure there is no way any company is going to start making a product and feel that a 30% failure rate is acceptable would not be in Business very long, most company`s try to keep failure rates at around 1 to 2%.I`m sure the MMM V2 rate`s will be higher than what castle will want for the next couple of month`s and in time they will get the failure rate closer to where they want it.I also think it`s a bit early to start complaining about how many MMM V2`s have failed yet as most place`s have just started shipping them out,I would give it another week or 2 before I would start saying there all going to be dud`s like the first batch.

Unfortunately, it does not work that way in the US military. Our packages do not go through Japanese customs because the Military bases outside the US are considered part of the continental US for mailing and shipping purposes. We don’t pay any customs duties or fees. That’s the main advantage of military mail system. The US Navy has itsr own postal clerks that do the job of regular post office employees. Our packages and mail are shipped to the San Francisco Post Office for distribution to the different bases/commands in the Pacific region. For mainland Japan, the mails and packages leaves San Francisco via air to the Yokohama Mail distribution Depot for further distribution to the different bases.
To add insult to injury, I just received a package containing revo parts I bought from an ebay seller located in Winsted, CT. It was shipped USPS Priority on Aug 18, 2008.
Here are some pics:
That’s about 9-10 days and CT is farther from San Francisco than Kansas .

While your mail may not go through the international customs office, packages of certain weight and value still require customs documentation from the shipper and do pass through customs in certain respects. A small package that is very light and has a low value will pass through rather quickly and undetected(no delay), but a larger package with a $100 value or more will potentially take longer - Aside from that, priority mail isn't nearly foolproof. I have had packages take 5 days to get here via priotrity mail and other packages take 2 days via priority mail from the same place. Just FYI - I do tend to ship a lot pf packages, so I am pretty familiar with the ins and outs. :)

Cool. I had an item from ebay sent for 3.55 GBP via standard royal air mail or whatever from the UK get here overnight on one occasion. Then today I got a parcel from the same seller, same postal method, take over a month of delivery. Postal system is weird.

Believe it or not, sometimes packages simply go missing(via UPS anyway).
I had a friend who was expecting her dell laptop that she'd bought. We tracked it to the local UPS office, went there and they didn't have it.
All she could do was file a claim and order a new laptop.
I don't think she ever got the original shipment either.
Not tryina scare anyone. Just sayin sometimes things don't go according to plan as I am sure you are aware.

I agree with you that's why it's important to anyone shipping me anything to fill out the customs form properly. Like you said, a smaller package that is light and has low value will pass through rather quickly and undetected. However , if you look at the shipping weight of the package I received, it weighed 2 lbs and 14 oz. That's almost 3 lbs. It was also valued at $180. Don't tell me that the MMM weighs close to 3 lbs . Since you shipped me my original MMM before, you know too well how much it weighed including the Priority box. I also received it from your post office in about 8 days and taht's coming from New York.
Oh by the way, the box is 20" x 10 1/2" x 8" because it contained the revo extended chassis (foreground in the pic) plus other revo parts I bought.
There are only 3 things that could have happened; either it was delayed, lost or it was not shipped at all. I'm hoping it's the first one.

In the meantime, the one Mike sent me is sleeping at the customs office at my local post office tonight. My secretary was supposed to help me arrange a pickup but she forgot .
