may be you guys are pushing it too hard, but who doesnt? what setup to you run and for how long until it blow? I want to try getting one of these but may be in the lower Kv, may be 1845Kv or even 1660Kv and run on 6s. Anyone try the smooth can version? they look to be from different manufacture than finned can

I had similar motors running with my HV set up showing spikes of 40-60A and then they just quit. Save up for a better motor.

Yea ya cant go wrong with the Neu line of motors I happen to have 3 of them.Is there any mods Lutach that can be done to these motors to add durability?And when you say simular were yours the exact motor?This is a 2770 kv the end bell is bolted on and the shaft is keyed also the magnet strength resembles the original Neus not the current easier turning models.This particular motor is longer and has a larger diameter than my Neu 1515/1.5d/f motor.I am gonna take it aprt to inspect the inside.

I don't think an mods will help these motors. I was thinking of a nice little water cooling system, but that would just add more weight. The ones I bought from Hobbycity were made by the same factory Keda (Hance the KD on the Hobbycity ones). One thing to make sure is to use Loctite on the screwed on front end and also on the screws at the rear end. Most high quality 2 pole motor designs don't have that strong of cogging to them. You should see how smooth Lehners and Hackers are when you turn them.

How many poles would this motor have.Also it only has screws on the rear endbell.I fit it into my Matrix buggy on 4s MMMv2 did a dozen high speed passes on asphalt and it was only warm to the touch.When I had the Fiegao in the same buggy same number of passes on the road the fiegao was hot.I realy dont know what to expect.I guess its like driving the escort to work and keeping my RX7 in the garage.My Neu motors are are like my1984 mint condition RX7.Cant touch that carburated rotary engine.

My 2 pole motors were performing good too and then they failed for no reason at all.

Allright guys I ran the motor yesterday on 4s lipo in my 9lb buggy for 10 minutes in med. grass and ran it hard.It temped out at 180 degrees F.It probabably would do better temp wise on 3s.The outside air temp was 70 degrees F.Since I no longer have any 3s batteries its probably will go on wee-bay.That same 9lb buggy with its Tekno Neu 1515/1.5 motor temps out 40 degrees cooler.Too bad they realy made it to look like it is a good quality motor.Any one interested in taking it pm me.

Does anyone know the max rpm is on these motors.The Fiegaos' max rpm is 40,000

Max RPM is 40,000 they claim. I doubt it though because they are basically feigao motors, and typically feigaos don't like RPM over 35,000.
