Do I need a fan on the motor (Lektron 2200) in a Losi 8ight 1.0 Buggy ? After 10 minutes it is about 74 degrees C hot (gearing 45/15)

I wouldn't think so... you could gear down the pinion a tad if you have the room for it, but a fan wouldn't hurt it if you wanted to run one i think... My tekno neu 1512 gets around those temps in my RC8, and it's fine =)

But it isn´t a neu 1512 ...;) The manual tells : Don´t let the temperature go above 78 C ... So if I drive a 20 minutes main I will run into problems ...

thats a good point - my temps are almost at that after a 20 minute main, not 10 minutes....

Try gearing down on the pinion, and lose some weight if its possible... it should run a bit cooler then... or simply add the fan and see how it goes =)
