I just got done with the rebuild. I was planning on taking pictures as I went along but didn't get too many before the batteries died. Found two more for the camera but forgot it was on and well they died too. I will post up what I did get though.

You would know a thing or two about blowing old ones wouldn't you paralyzed? Is it tough to reach your own? Jk dude,ya know we love ya!

On a serious note gee,is the original motor a CY,ZEN, or a clone? I've read that it can come with either a CY or a clone of one?

Sorry Bigsteel didn't see the question. It is a clone of the CY engine. If I remember right it is a HY. I don't have the motor anymore to verify the HY though.

Had the differential out to replace a drive cup and thought I would post of pic of the 1/5th differential next to a Kyosho STRR 1/8th differential I had laying around.





Kyosho doesn't have the biggest ring gear around but cup is the same size as other 1/8th scale. You can really tell the difference when you are gently fondeling the differentials in the palm of your hand..........

That truck do make an awesome electric conversion, I love my brushless Rampage MT... I was after the same thing you were, 4WD, monster Truck look and cheap to replace parts...
