Great looking build... Love the use of the muggy platform combined with the cage and wing, very sharp looking! Should be a beast

Yea I need to do another build. That revo wasn't mine, never did get any vids of it. But the results were very similar. Even with the stiffest springs and sway bars it couldn't support or control its weight very well. And it was under 14lbs rtr. Needed to be a little wider too, and the 5t body kinda limited that. Think I'll see if my LHS will trade me the brand new 5t body for a 5b body set and cage, then find me a roller to build. Thanks for sharing your build dude!

This is the first run out the front of my house, just a quick test to see if everything is working.

Looked at a few of your vids - nice - may want to tape those front tires, though!

Questions: What top-speed are you geared for? Have you done much suspension tuning to dial in the handling?

Yeah i know it's crazy, i put very thick oil in the centre diff too.

i never geared it for any sort of speed i just went concervative to see how all the temps were and i haven't felt the need to change anything yet. it's got the muggy centre diff and a 15 tooth pinion.

No suspension tuning yet but i'm looking at getting some raven dual rate springs, not sure what oil yet. the buggy wieghs 6kg rtr but i'm thinking of fitting in one 6s lipo along with the other 2 3s lipo's and run it parallel with the 3s lipo's for longer run times this would bring the wieght up to around the 7kg mark.

Well since a stock LST is around 5kgs and uses 30wt oil, I'd suggest 40 or 45wt to start with.

40wt oil in an LST shock is very thick. I was running 30-35wt oil in my 19lb buggy with the RC-Raven springs and it was plenty. More recently I've modded my pistons and will try out some weights, but you can read about that elsewhere.

We can work out the speed with BrianG's calculator, just need to know:

diff ratio ( ring & pinion tooth counts )
center diff tooth count
pinion tooth count
voltage/ cell count
motor kv
tire diameter

Certainly hauls though when you drop the hammer...
