THat's interesting, it seems like old school lipo's are made with a more stable chemistry as far as calender life is concerned if what you guys are saying is true.
Anyone else have some old (6+ years) packs that are still perform strong? Post it here.
BTW, a good pack these days will hold a 20C discharge at ~3.7v/cell (at mid discharge) or how about 3.5V @40C discharge.

I recommend quality over cheap batteries that won't last as long. MaxAmps.com is a great option:

HAHAHHAHHAHA
Pay extortionist prices for a chinese celled pack assembled in a garage by a bunch of smug guys that throw a flame decal on it and call it the "best"..No thanks.

The word maxamps is "taboo" around here. Bring it up and the bashing begins.

Hey Mods- let's ban Brandon Wilcox. It will be easier than monitoring every thread he comments in- we are going to bash him relentlessly.

Ditto
I dropped nearly a grand on several packs years ago and they all puffed within weeks in very conservative set ups. I called customer service and was told I was SOL with zero explanation. I know things have changed slightly for their returns since then but I'm still out huge hunk of cheese.
No mercy from me

Mods can't ban, only Mike can do that. Personally, I think we should since Brandon hardly ever (if at all) has any input except to peddle his product, but again, it's up to Mike.

I'll try again,
Brandon appears to be from my home state of Illinois, I would gladly offer to forum members here to take the honor of chatting with him and explaining in nice terms the error if his misconceptions

Luckily I only made that mistake once! It still amazes me how popular they are due to the publicity they get....little to do consumers know they are in for trouble

I noticed one of my post's was removed even tho no profanity was used, possibly due to refering to Brandon getting back to work under a cetain persons desk ?
