The bed rails were completed today, the bed's deck will be roughly 15"X9.25" and I'm probably going to make it out of Birch plywood in 1/4" I think. This wood is very hard and should hold up nicely for it's intent.

Decided to take a break from the bed floor after applying some Ebony stain, gotta let it dry anyway for at least 24hrs.

Ben tinkering with the servo winch, I made a spool support with a bearing.

I have to complete the winch housing and spool cover yet just thought I'd post this BC I was pretty proud of my Fat Kid Engineering

The winch box is done and installed to the bed floor. Onto the next step which will prob be the Boom.

Looking for opinions; Should I leave the winch box and boom to tarnish naturally or spray is with Black Hammer Paint from the Spray bomb ?

Nice touch with the rifles in the back. The coneheads just don't do for me though

This build is getting better and better! Love the gun rack!

I would rip the birch into 3/4"-1" strips to make the bed look more like a deck, but that's just me. In real life you'd never find a sheet of wood that size. Scale it up dude!

Of course they dont, you'd much rather have a slutty teen anime driving it.

NOTHING is bolted down, I just set the cab and ben on the chassis to see what it looks like and snap a few pics for my thread. Still have lots of wiring to do and TX programming

Heres some close ups of the Boom I made and how it's intended to work and store when not in use.

Enjoy the pics.
