Yeah, it saves some trouble. that's for sure.. Just plug in the batteries, and the LVC and UBEC is all hooked up.. that is neat. If it's durable it is a very good solution for building a clean setup without too much trouble..

I wonder if the MMM will have an internal switching BEC. If so that will make the MMM an even better system to just take out of the box and put into your car. Especially for newer people to brushless (or just electric) who don't understand UBEC's, LVC's very well.

Who knows how good it will actually be. I like my Quarks enough to give it a chance. Despite the flaws in the current Quark ESCs I still think they are darn good. But a little pricey.

You would think that second time around they would be a little smarter and at least address the flaws in the first generatation controllers.

For them i wrote the sticky in the brushless section.. But it's not bad to actually know how it works. It saves questions if you understand how it works, what it is used for and why it is used for it.

I don't think they're that pricy(280) Schulze of the same type of controller would go over $350. I've never tried a quark, though.

Since when is schulze a refference for anything besides smoking controllers.

Compared to the CC, it is overpriced.

I think this controller will be in my list for the 1/8 buggy project, unless the MMM comes first with the same price.

I'm thinking about this as a 1/8 buggy conroller too. Possible replacement for the 80B I'm currently using.

Nothing in particular. I just went with it cuz fitting a 125B into the space I had was darn near impossible and I found a great deal on the 80B on ebay so I went with it. It works fine, no problems. I have it set up with a 1700kv Neu right now. Thats perfect for the track. More speed than I can use, but for taking it out bashing I would like to be able to throw my 1940/7 2239kv motor in it on 5s and let it really rip. I dont dare run that hot of a motor on the 80B though. Thats just asking for it.

I guess Im just looking for a little more headroom on the current capacity.

I'm really not sure this controller will make us happy with our fatty motors. It is meant for 1/10th scale models, you know. I say go with an MGM if you're gonna run some high cell counts.

jhautz: I know what you mean about the 125B's size. I had a heck of a time stuffing it nicely in my buggy. The Quarks fit nice in some conversions because it is long, but not too tall or wide. Then, other times, you want something with a smaller footprint and aren't as concerned about the height...

Yea Brian, you did a nice job figuring a way to get it in there. I originally built mine with intention of running a Mamba Max. After I had it built I figured out that the MM wouldn't do the job with the Neu. At least not well enough in my opinion. By then I was forced into the ESC location and I just couldn't get a 125 to fit or I would have used it. If I had started out with the 125 in the plan the whole layout probably would have turned out different.

Thats why I'd be interested in this new ESC It looks like it would fit, has a higher current limit and some really cool additional features.

So is the MM, the Quark 125, the Quark 80... We all run em in larger vehicles though.

EDIT: Dont get me wrong. Would love to see a MT version of this new controller.
