Yeah yeah, glad to see your reading my thread. I have broken it a couple of times, in seven months all i went through was 2 front a- ams, a wing mount and this outdrive. not bad to say the least.
i wouldnt say its done yet, kind of an ever changing project.

Got the new drives installed, they are a drop in replacement with a few mods.
First off the pins thta go under the large gear inside the diff are too long and need to be trimmed to fit, Bolt cutters work best- but a dremel would work. Now to the big thing.. The savage uses a dogbone with a larger diameter round end, so the matrix end was swimming in the cup side-to-side. The pin in the cen dogbone fit and was snug but the ball was too small. SInce the ball is not subjected to much load on this axis I came up with a simple fix. Took about 1/4inch rubber tubing and cut it into small-curved strips. and drilled a hole in the center for the dogbone pin to come through.effectively widening the ball end of the bone. then lubricated it with graphite powder. Seems to hold up well with no play at all. the cups are also longer then the stockers and allow for more suspension travel without the bone popping out.
Also got a modded PSU from Eovu87435ds as he is gettin a hyperion ac/dc charger. did a bit of modding to it, cleaned up wiring and mounted the swith internally for a cleaner look.

Yeah my first heat was kind of trashed after I lost a wheel nut and the wheel fell off, so i decided to cut up a bit.
It was fun.. but 6s is way too much power as it stands
