can someone post a video of 80 mm serie from medusa if possible??

So after reading a bunch of info here am I right a 36-60-2000 would be a good buggy 5s motor? I am running a neu15122.5d 2050kv and it works very well. Low temps and great run time 18 min on 4300mah race coditions.

Not sure how well 2000 would do on 5S, kinda high rpm...

Depending on gearing it could kick ass or get hot.

But the 60 series is the way to go for buggy? The 1800 would give better efficiency(run time) and run cooler?

Yes, I would do 1800 in a heartbeat over the 2000.

For my personal taste, the 2000 would be too high and the 1600 too low in a buggy, 1800 is absolutley perfect.

Should have good runtimes and temps.

I'm running a 36-70-2000 on 5S on my converted revo. Good runtimes and temps.

Grrr, just got my 5S lipos for a 10S setup today, and my eagletree logger, have a LT-10S all soldered up. Just missing my 80mm 1100kV medusa now. Hopefully I get that shipment notice soon. I want to see what this beast can do. Tested out my new recorder for a few minutes using my neu 1515/2.5D on 6S and it peaked at 107A. Eager to see the data on the 1100kV Medusa now. This is in my Hyper ST.

That thing is going to be insane. My 2000KV 80mm on 4s moves my ~14 pound Muggy around like it was nothing.

Do you think 80mm is too much for the muggy?
Because I didn't want to wait for the larger motors, I got a 60mm 1300kv medusa for my muggy. Only had one run on 8s so far, but it did really well. I'm thinking the 70mm 1200kv might be just right for the muggy on 8s.

I like how it runs on 4s. It's very powerful and even with the soft start cranked up on my MGM it'll launch like a scalded dog. The 70mm would be fine, but I like that extra bit of power I've still got the massive stock tires on mine (and I actually like them a lot) so that needs more power to move around. If you are going to an MT (Revo, Savvy, etc.) sized tire the 70 should be fine.

I E-Mailed Mike about getting heatsink clamps made for these new motors and he said they will be coming out (didn't even give a hint at when though) but he said that with the motor plate on the front the 74mm XL one will fit the 70mm motor.

The Neu is 15mm longer and 4mm wider, that's where it gets it's torque. Compare a 70mm MedUsa to the Neu and it'll be closer.

I too have the stock tire/wheel combo. Only mods I did to the muggy are rcm batt.tray, rcm motor mount, steering mod, single servo tray, mud guards. I think there might me some power advantage when you run a hv setup. Also 4s 2000 kv =30.000rpm and 8s 1200kv = 35000 rpm.

Would it be safe to say that a 70mm on 8s has as much power as a 80mm on 4s?

Could you be a little more specific?Mine runs nice and cool in an Erevo,rarely tops 140.I run 4,5, and 6s,sometimes geared for 60+ mph.But I have heard of a few others whose ran hot,I have to wonder if there is a little inconsistency.
