Well I was talking with Neu and some guys helping me out. Let me run this by you. They are wanting to see the big XLB buggy run 140mph. I have no idea what would be needed as far as power. I will be going to foam tires of course, but to get a 20 lbs buggy that is 25 inches long and as big as this thing is poses some real problems. At first they said 2215's might get the buggy there, but now they are saying it will probably take a set of BIG twin motors like the 1527's. Just don't know what it will take.

I'm sure with 10000 Watts and the proper aerodynamics, the twin 1527 could get you there... but that area you have might not be big enough for that kind of speed run...

1HP (electric) = 746 Watts.
Everything is brushless!!

Their is a larger area next to it which is the main takeoff and landing strip. We are making our runs on the taxing part.

Here are some quick #'s I calculated....just don't know if they are right.

Single 2215 that I have coming runs max ~172 amps. At 44.4 volts that should be around ~7636 watts or so.

Twin 1527's that I have coming as well run at ~100 amps. At 44.4 volts X 2 that should be ~8880 watts. Is this correct thinking. Both are over 10hp.

I think aerodynamics will play a big part on this. Raw power is good, but to reach the that kind of speed, you'll need to cut through the air. When I used to drive my go kart it would never get passed 100mph even with the little turbo my grandfather got me, but we added a new body and I was able to reach 120mph (It got a bit too scary above that). If you reduce the drag, who knows what kind of speed 50000+ RPMs and 10000 watts of motor power would be able to do.

Well problem is no body's are available for it. I am trying to keep it looking as stock as possible.

Simple wings at a few places will do. Front wing and 2 wings like a Top Fuel Dragster. All you need is to deflect some air over the tires. I don't have the time to do it. That's why I just run what I have.
