I agree with you 100%!! His car is the faster in the 2 videos as I am running in about 600 feet or so. My question comes in to the fact that I do not see the 30+ mph difference between the 2 cars. Also, I have been working with Castle for a few months on this and I am running the 5700 on 4S ONLY because I measured on a V3 data logger 60K loaded in the car. They say once you hit passed 65K, you will detonate the motor and possibly everything else!! That is a lot of money to take a chance on!!

I can assure you it is not necessary to go bigger than a 4S setup to achieve 100+ reliably!! It is all about setup!!

Now i know that the Venom speedo isn't 100% correct but, every run i've made with the car has been very consistant. I have done the same top speed around 120mph on 3 differnt days. And compared to what speed i started at 2 weeks ago i think it would be weird if i got more and more wheel spin so to speak beacsue the speed have been increasing every time due to changes i've made.So i think it's pretty close to the real speed. But i will get a radar gun, will order one today ;) Probably a Eagle Tree system too so we can see the RPM etc. too.
Any more info on your car btw? :)
vassmar,

My car was built with the purpose of building a 100+ mph car with 100% off-the-shelf parts and no custom parts or modding whatsoever. Here are the basics:

- TC4
- Mamba Max 5700
- 4S FP 3200 30C
- HPI Zonda F Body
- Kyosho Red Box 37S Foam tires

Sounds basicly like my car then hehe. Do you find the Zonda body working well btw?

Btw, I made a few runs yesterday and the day before on 5S. And the motor havn't exploded yet :D I reached 135.3mph as max speed, made about 3-4 runs on the same speed. And i know, it isn't 100% correct so i will verify it as soon as i get my radar gun i've ordered. I will also try again in a few days with a taller gearing.

Video:
Top quality video.. not.. but you can almost see the car lol. But you can defently hear that it is going faster than before by the sound of the motor. And as always, I did about 3-4 runs with basicly the same speed. New vids are coming in daylight.

It's like a mini turbine spooling up, it just sounds like warp speed.

Or in this case, ludicrous speed........

That is awesome. If 135mph comes up in the radar gun, that would be just amazing.

You might even be able to send the video to Guiness. They might even go to you or you can call them. They are based in the UK.

Yes, the Zonda is working pretty good so far. I am in more shock every time I read this as I could have done this, but "they" said it was technically impossible. At this point, I am only interested in seeing one of your runs on a data logger so I can see what rpm's you are pulling under load!!

You guys need a factory team TC4 its lighter. I started a highspeed project and did not finish it. If you are looking for a VERY nice TC4 pm me.

I ended up getting into offroad and only ran the car a couple of times on my road. The factory team ones are all carbon fiber with the metal diffs.
