Have fun guys. I wish I could make it, but if I started driving now I still would be late.

I will do my best to make it to the "real" RCM Bash. I had a blast last year. Mike any dates on the calendar for that yet? If I get it on the calender early, the wife can't already have something for me to do that weekend.

I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

Cool, I got everything together and I'm getting pretty excited. I'm really looking fwd to running the CRT.5. The Revo is a lot of fun, but still more my basher. Quite a bit to drive on the track, but the little truggy is really nice to drive. Too bad I fubar'd the LMT, but the little 12s should do ok. Way less power tho, but prolly more than enough for the track. No wheelies either. :)

I'll see you all tomorrow !

I'm really sorry to wuss out here but I can't make it. I went to the (local) track today, against my better judgment and I'm going to have to enforce my personal rule, no racing above 90 degrees. It was about 95 today and it beat the heck out of me. No way I can do it two days in a row.

Sorry guys...

Sad that I could not make it. Maybe I could have helped you guys. Monter Mike had offered top help me rebuild my diff's That could have kept him off the track for a while... I think I will be there next time.

Hey Mike can you ship my stuff to me. Might take me a bit to learn how to build up the diff's

It was great only 4 in brushless truggy and 2 in CRT .5 class on our own.

Great just to get some track time and get some tips off of Mike - I did as bad as I expected but got better during the day with Mike's help. I really need to set the car up for the track to have any chance... I'm normally just bashing but that shows on the tracks.

I entered my brushless x1cr in the main buggy class - I was doing ok in the main until the quark thermalled - I was geared too high.... but it was fun to wizz past all the nitro guys on the straight...

Chris's (CG) father took some footage so hopefully something can be put up.

Now just have to go through the damage list:

- MMM - Dead
- Deans series splitter - Dead (took a trip through the spur)
- 3s2p A123 pack - Dead - shorted with above (I think 4 cells are good)
- LSP Spur - Dead - See above
- 1 crt shock dead
- 4 crt.5 tires to be reglued - Oops do not do a burn out at the end of a qualifier
- 1 Revo Extended Arm - Dead
- 1 Revo rear diff - Pretty much sure dead...
- A few body mounts - Dead!

Thats the visible stuff!

All in all a great day! Now for a shower to get rid of the nitro smell!

Same again anyone?

Holy frigs it was hot, but really fun. Its too bad only 2 crt.5s were there. It was a pretty rough track for the little guys, but it drove really well. It was my 1st time on a track w/ it, and I was pretty happy with it. I miss the LMT as the 12s did not quite have the punch to double the whoops section, but handled really well.

I had lots of bad luck w/ my revo. Slipper pads grenaded and took out 2nd gear (or vice versa god knows.) Only got 1 lap in the 1st qual, still down for repairs during the 2nd qual. Got it running in the main and was driving well. I can't keep up w/ Mike and the truggs, but seemed on par w/ a nitro revo that was running in another class. Then the batt had a problem 7 min into the main. I swapped batts, but only 20secs were left in the race...so....

Too bad a couple other guys didn't make it. I was hoping for more .5s. A class of 5 or so would be great. Mike said he'd bring his next time, and Cem gates should get his up again I would think. Fun little cars to drive, just stay out of the big truggs way during practice. A nitro slammed into mine (recklessly) and broke the servo saver. Thankfully Arct1k saved me w/ a spare so I had one truck running well. :)

I brought a cam, but didn't get it out. Only 2 crts seemed a bit silly to vid, and too much chaos for the other event. Maybe next time

Hey Guys! I had alot of fun today! Yes, I have video that I'll post later this week.

I was lucky enough to finish all the quals and the main. I finished second next to Mike who got first. My mmm's fan took a dump at the end of the main and a motor wire seems to be real lose on the board(starting to fray, someone didn/t tin it enough or at all). Other than that, I finished in one piece!

A big thanks to Mike who helped me alot with my mmm programing! It made my truggy drive and jump so much better! Now I just need more time at the track....

Bye

Ryan, Chris and Chris - it was great to play with you guys, despite the miserable heat. Ryan played it safe and cool on the track, while Arct1k Chris was a bit wild early on, but settled down later in the day - a little more practice and some track setup on your vehicles will make a big difference on the track. Cemetary Chris - lucky for you and the other guys that you had the laptop for mamba programming. I am glad I was able to help a bit with making the trucks more consistent. I can't teach you all my tricks, though(still gotta win occasionally). :)
It would have been great to have you there, Maffucci. I didn't drive as bad as I thought I would and it would have been a stiff competition between us(though it was quite hot). I ended up being one of only 3 truggies to get 9 laps for the day and would have been 3rd in overall truggy qualifying - I was quite happy considering my lack of drive time over the last couple years and minimal truck maintenance(I guess I still don't suck, despite not being as good as I used to be). :)
Preliminary date for the Bash is looking like Sept. 28th I think. I have to check some local race dates, and make sure this date works. I usually like to do it a little earlier(late August or early Sept.) due to the diminishing daylight, but cooler temps are always nice with the later date. I will try to get some magazine support as well if possible. :)

LOL: Mike's very polite - You don't it seems get extra points for a forward roll off the tripple... My poor CRT .5!

One good point is my car is pretty big so I had enough spares and chargers for everyone....
