No, I found it's a 380 motor so a 28mm medusa would have to do.
Yes it uses a 380 size motor wich is a medusa 28mm series, But in those pics you can see that a Medusa 36-50-???? can fit with some very little modding, Just dremel a bit off the rear shock holder and it will fit, This is what i plan to do when my VXL system dies, This thing is stupid on the 3s 380 I can't imagine 4s 540 can.... I can fit my zippy 3s 1600mah packs in there, There a tight squeeze bit they fit....

Since when do B4 wheels use a hex? That's certainly news to me.

damn im a total TARD, i have my b44 sitting right here in front of me the whole time, i must have been thinking about the front being a 12mm hex i completely forgot the rear was pin drive, when we used the b44 wheels on the lazer we removed the hex and on the b44 we added a traxxas hex in the rear.......

I would use two 2s 2200mah packs in a series for the 4s.

I just spent the better part of last night cramming a Neu 1112 into my 1/16 E-Revo. I haven't even ran the truck.

I'll be using a Mamba Max ESC in it and will be switching between 2S2P and 4S1P (I bought 2S 2200mah Zipp packs). I'll also be running a Castle BEC. Seems like overkill in a small truck but I guess this is what it takes to have a (extremely overly-) powerful setup that will run ice cool no matter what I throw at it.

I had to dremel the rear shock Tower and cut the shaft down on the motor (the Neu shaft was a solid 1/8" too long). I also ground a flat spot.

This weekend I hope to fab up the ESC mount (I'm going to make a mount out of aluminum that slides into the stock ESC mount tabs so I can slide my ESC out just like stock).

I've also moved my steering servo to the other side to balance the weight and provide cleaner wiring later on.

I went with the E-Revo. The ground clearance and tires should allow it to go places where the Slash just can't.

FWIW I think a medusa 36-50-5900 with a MM or SW on 2s ~4500mah would be killer.

I stopped by the LHS today and got a look at both the Slash and Revo. At first, I thought they were pretty cool, but after a while, I was less enthusiastic. With a little work, the CRT.5 is pretty darn close size-wise and has beefier driveline. The Revo/Slash shocks looked very chintzy, almost like a Wal-Mart toy. And the VXL, well, it's a VXL. I guess $290 for a true RTR BL system system isn't bad, but I didn't go for it.

Maybe once the eBay chop shops start selling rollers with no electrics, I might get one.

Picked up a slash to play with. Quite a bit of fun so far - watch your running surface, though! Uneven cracks in our sidewalk are more then enough to bottom it out, and send it flying. If I'd put a little more thought into that, I woulda went with the e-revo, but the slash looked too cool to pass up. I love the corr truck look.

So far I've just swapped out the receiver and put some shims in to remove some wheel slop. Still formulating plans for what else to do... gotta get some 3s batteries that'll fit. I was eyeing the turnigys, just need to do some measuring.

I got mine in today. It zips around pretty well on 3s. I tightened everything up and put the smaller 23t pinion on. The holes for the battery wires to pass through are too small for 12 gauge wire, so I'll need to open them up a bit.

Things went well until the end of the run. I did a reverse back-flip and broke one of the driveshafts, more specifically the plastic part that connects to the diff. It's cracked on both sides. I wasn't fully expecting to do a back-flip so I was on the throttle when it landed. It's more my fault than the truck's because most drivelines don't like landing with the wheels at full throttle. Oops.

I've super-glued the cracks and will take it easy until a replacement gets here.

It's definitely a bit smaller and less sturdy than the CRT.5. It needs thicker oil in the shocks for sure. It also needs shimming to tighten the wheels up a bit. Overall, I'm pretty happy with it so far.
