May I ask what happened when you contacted Mike about it? Explaining to him in detail what happened, what was your set up, including these pics you provided here?

Looks like it was one of those dodgy over-hardend pinions & a couple teeth sheered off, rarely ever see anything like that with Mike's pinions- mine still look good as new

Always bound to be a defect here or there, especially given the volume of pinions Mike sells. The key thing is he will make it right for you if you contact him and show what happened.

i had a rcm pinion that was hardened very weird. i had the mesh right in my jammin crt x2 and the pinion was wearing considerably fast and one of the teeth broke off while only running 3s (geared for 38mph on 4s) just messing around in the front yard.

i had a dynamite pinion on that same truggy that wears at a medium speed. its lifespan in my truggy will probably be about 40 runs. at the rate my rcm pinion was wearing, it would have lasted maybe 15. the tooth broke off on the 3rd run.

They say a good mechanic only needs 2 tools - WD40 & Duct tape. If it moves, and its not supposed to, duct tape. If it doesn't move, and its supposed to, WD40.

My configuration is a mamba monster 2200 combo on a hyper 8 pro. That is a heavy buggy with very hard spur. I didn't contact Mike yet because if he wants me to send the pinion to him It will cost me more than the pinion itself (I'm from Turkey) . Only some pictures is not enough for most of the producers to replace the item.

Contact him anyway. Mike is a super cool guy and he won't give you the runaround, unlike some HK outfit that only wants your money.
