And I agree with thzero, those XL tires are gonna strain your tranny, Lipos and ESC with a good chance of breaking them. Gear the pinion down to 18T or 16T

BS!
from someone who has actually run XL tyres on his Flux
They make no descernable difference to the motor or esc temp and eagletree amp draw went up from 120 amp peak to 124 amp peak.
If anything the motor came off cooler
And that was in the middle of a 90 degree day.
Don't make comments without actually trying them first. Perhaps you can scam some from HPI, the tread on your stockers is wearing down, surely that should be warranty!

Wow, yes sir, whatever you say sir.
However, it is nice that you've tried it and were able to give feedback on it. I originally made the suggestion based on moving to Big Joes from stock X tires and had to regear slightly because of the larger size. And the Terra Pins are slightly bigger, but probably not quite as heavy either.
P.S. Scamming a quality company like HPI isn't cool, all one does is hurt the company when doing that.

Thanks for the info guys. I want to get an eagletree...that is some good stuff to track and the information is invaluable.
On the side note. Lets keep this civil. I know we dont all agree on some things (not mentioning it ON PURPOSE) but this is NOT the thread bash others with your opinions. I would really appreciate keeping this on topic.

No dramas lets stick to the task at hand.
Best way to be is to be honest, upgrade what breaks and make notes of what changes you make and what effect they have.

now that you have the flux you could just use a flux XL chassis for your fix... there's a bunch out there...
1offrc.com
tcscrawlers.com
fastlanemachine.com
gcmachine.ca
that's an easy fix and the prices are reasonable considering there's no extra mounts or anything

desert, i still have my 1offrc xl kit. i'm happy with my savage being standard length and i don't really have any use for it. if you still want to convert your flux to XL length, let me know.
They say a good mechanic only needs 2 tools - WD40 & Duct tape. If it moves, and its not supposed to, duct tape. If it doesn't move, and its supposed to, WD40.

fastbaja5b, I truly am sick of your childish internet grudge against me and seeings how you've taken this hate for me to ALL forums that I visit for the past few months, i'm gonna repost my stance here for what happened and the people can decide for themselves.
I don't see why I should have to suffer/pay for HPI's lack of testing the diffs to stand up to regular usage of either 4S or 6S usage for a new product. Why should me, the customer who spends $600 on a high end hobby truck, get the short end of the staff and have to PAY AGAIN for a better part that HPI shoulda had in the first place in its product? ?If you want the farking truth once and for all and seeings how fastbaja5b is an all rightous and pure father whoever has never made mistake in his life because he's the second coming of Christ, i'll set the record straight and if you don't like me for it, fine whatever. Don't like my actions? To bad. Lifes unfair, people are unfair, get used to it.
I called up HPI back in early Oct and stated I was concerned with the amount of diffs that were failing in the Savage Flux's. I stated to the rep that I was running only 4S when most of the breakages seemed to be caused by stress by 6S usage but I was concerned that it was just a matter of time and if HPI would do anything for me. The rep stated that he would go ahead and ship me some new upgraded bulletproof diffs so I wouldn't have to worry about breakage in the first place. Wow, I was very, surprised and happy with this! HPI DID NOT have to do anything for me as my stock diffs were still functioning, so they could have told me to take a hike and they would be in the right. Instead, they went out of there way to prevent time loss and fusration on my end and gave me upgraded diffs for preventive maintenance, outa their kindness, nothing more. I stated in a few forums what happened, of how pleased and happy I was with HPI going that extra step in customer service and wanted people to know how awesome they were for taking care of their customers. Instead, i've been pursecuted like the Jews by guys like fastbaja5b ever since then, demanding I be burned at the stake for such " evil actions" and "teachory"
There, thats the story behind all this. Believe it or not, whatever, I don't care anymore but I'm not going down without standing my ground first. Peace out however which way you want it....And yeah, you win fb5b. Kudo's to the perfect human being on the planet to set all wrongs right like Christ himself. Ya happy now?!

......arguing over the internet is like participating in the special Olympics; even if you win, you're still retarded.......
desert, have you gotten a chance to run your flux yet? i have gotten about 6 or 7 packs through mine and it is a blast.
