My 9XL even on 20 cells, has become, though quick, very boring.

Serum, I have a rather short attention span, I blast my maxx around on 18 cells usually, it's fun but I still want more. Once it gets to the crazily insane stuff, i'd be happy. (re: my supermaxx project, not 3080) I dunno, I just get bored by it. Might go dual brushless in my super. Unless my cells are crap? Should be good though.

Try lipo. It is more than nimhs. Try 6s lipo on your super maxx. With the weight savings and constant voltage. I think you have more fun with it. Picture you truck with the same power as 20 cells but only 10 cells on the truck. :D

Peace!

Also, a 3080? Can we say strip tease?

Darren ,you ever have seen a lehner 3080 or a motor in the same size performing live??
I don't think so...

My english is to bad to explain in detail why its simply impossible to run a 3080 in an e-maxx even when its the best supermaxx.

I already build up a dual bigmaxx Maxx and a supermaxx with a 2250.

We also test a Bolido + Schulze 40160 on 10S Lipos in a modified 1:8 Car, but the car hasn't any chance!! the build really oversized CVD's and torsendiffs but one short ride and all work was destroyed.

And we are talking here of thousands of $$$.

In an maxx you also never have the enough room for all the batteries etc.
a 3080 is constructed for boats not for 1:10 MTs....
The car would also get toooo heavy and uncontrollable.

To run 20, 24, 28 cells is all ok, i'm also powerhungry, but your ideas are simply a dream.

That's only my opinion...

Waiting for pics:004:

From my "EX" dual bigmaxx and my first bl-maxx (dual Hacker C40) i had had photos but i had only. About 6 months ago my pc crashed down and i loose all pics, vids of them... i have both cars sold so i can't tell you there they runnning; if they running ....

The bolido car was a project i do with a good friend and he sponsered all the parts but he said to me that i shouldn't take photos because he isn't so keen on with i-net and the trouble this machine would make. I can only say the project eats a lot of money and we saw no end so we don't finish it ...

But here some pics of the 2250 lehner maxx:

For the next time i will modified this maxx a bit, also will buy lipos...
I already want to sell it but i keep the truck.

For all new projects i will make up a thread here in this great forum ;) i promise.

What kind of rims and tires are those?!? That thing is sick! What kinda chassis?

At Darren, a 3080 IS possible, but its gonna cost alot. I would get some 5S or 6S Flightpower packs. I think they offer the best punch.

awesome truck maxxler,

i think that the only truck/buggy that the 3080 would not destroy would be the hpi 5b, or one of a similar size..............

Darren, why not put the 3080 in your Lightning instead? It would handle the power alot better.

I not sure if any 1/8 can handle it with out some serious mods.
I ran a 2250 and it was more than you need.
I think i have some of the pics of your rc.
I don't know where i got them. I thought it was cool.
Squee. Picture the 10xl you have with a 10 mm shaft thru it and the
whole thing is the rotor. That is about what the3080 rotor looks like.

Yea. I realize the size, just saying, if hes gonna do it, do it right :p. Besides. I think the LSP would be alot easier than a Maxx.

I converted it for my dad, he uses it at the track when i'm using my maxx.

Maybe I should try the 3080 in an FG Marder? Massive amount of room in there!

It is possible to do the 3080. Remember, its not an everyday car, more of a drag.
