It was a ticket for rolling through a stop sign...I guess the Sheriff had nothing better to do at 1 AM...Must not have met his ticket quota I guess...

You know, there is a very simple method for avoiding those situations - don't speed. ;)

Happens so often where I live. Well, so often it is now called the "California stop". Those of you whop live in Ca. have heard of it. I am not sure if it is illegal where you live, but radar detectors, have saved many people in my family many times, as well as friends and me. It is perfectly okay to use them in California.

Ah, yes, the California rolling stop. Gotta love it. There's this 90 degree left turn that I go through everytime I go to work (hobby shop) that has a flashing red light and stop signs all over it (it's a pretty tight turn). I usually slow down to 5-10mph and go through it :018:.

Yea, I only rolled through it at around 5 mph. He wasn't even running radar I don't think. Just looking for people run run it. It was actually kinda not my fault really...It was around a turn, and I couldn't see it untill I was right up on it. I hit the brakes pretty hard, but didn't come to a complete stop because I didn't want to hit the brakes to hard...Oh well...I'm gonna go to court about it and see if I can try and take a driving course instead of having it go on my record. I think they call it a 10-49?
