brushless 1/10th truggy (help and opinions?) -

Well im just getting back into RC and i already have a minlst2 and a micro-t now im hooked agian and want to build a brushless truck. I sold my emaxx over a year ago and i dont really have the funds to go that route at the moment, i was considering a the new traxxas vxl trucks due to the great reviews and still am but im really wanting a 4wd just because of how much better they handle.
Ive come across a GREAT deal on a brand new Hotbodies lighting stadium10 RTR (ill just sell all the nitro components). I've heard of people running these on the lower kv mamba max setups but having temperature problems (i think because they cant gear them low enough, please correct me if im wrong), So with all the great reviews, low temps, and killer torqe of the vxl system i was thinking of using it on either a 2s2p 6000 or a 3s2p 6000, with the 3500kv motor i figure it should be able to pull the stadium10 pretty well. Fabricating the motor mount and battery tray for the conversion will not be a problem at all. I looking for 35-38mph out of the truck because you honestly dont need anymore than that, do you think the 2s will provide enough or will i have to run 3s. Ill mostly be bashing around, some pretty big jumps, and of course track time in the truggy class agianist the the nitros. Runtime is also pretty important im looking for atleast 20-25 minutes of track time so i can run in the 20 minute mains.
Any suggestions for the motor, controller, batteries, or gearing would be great, ive been out of the hobby for a couple years so ive been reading ALOT trying to get update on what all is avaible these days. BTW i have a DSM system to use on the truck already, keep in mind im on a tight budget of $600 so if you guys think there is a better brushless system that will do what i want it to in this truck it still has to fit in my pricerange and the vlx is only 170 thats another reason im wanting to use it.
Sorry for the long post and thanks ahead of time.
