we can only make our decisions based on the info given, or in castles case the lack there of. hopefully your statement means they will be soon even though we still dont even know projected specs.

If only they took one of their high amp boat controlers and put high voltage components in it with car software that worked with neu motors... they could make one model that could handle 4s to 12s and 240 amps that would do it for me, I would pay 400-500 for it. People pay 300+ for motors 300+ for lipo packs, 4-500 for a controler that is capable and servicable with a good waranty seems reasonable. I think a controler should outlast a lipo pack or motor. Upgradeablity would be the key not just USB software crap, I have a Valentine 1 radar detector when they have new software or hardware developments you send your detector in and they update it they have used the same basic model for like 10-15 years it does not become obsolete they, maintain their value and are continously rated best in their industry. A brushless controler could be the same way it would be brilliant.

There is a saying Joe "if you build it, they will come." This thread can take this saying a step farther. "If you build it, we "WILL" buy it." 650+ posts prove we want this product. Prove us wrong. We want you too! I can't speak for ever one here but I know a good number of us would put down money right now if castle asked. I am still a noobie around here but I would Volunteer to test your beta version. I know every one who posted in this thread would. I will take Brians advice:
I think you can, I think you can, I think you can, I think you can,...

Not only is that statement potentially combative to your client base, I have no idea what it means. What will we all be proven wrong about? Don't get me wrong here, I'm not trying to be a jerk or anything. I just don't understand what you're trying to say. Are you saying CC will be first on the market? Something we're wrong about on the specs?
In closing, CC has huge respect with me and many others from past experience in 1/18 and 1/10 scale performance. I gotta say though . . . that respect has been declining over the last 6 months. I guess it's not a huge deal for me though - I just installed a nice MGM 160 in my CRT and it's awesome.

Just my 2c..
I have to say that is seems like a deliberate attempt to pour gasoline on a smoldering fire - I think 99% people here are very supportive of castle and have just been dissapointed with the repeated promises of a controller and the lack of communication about design issues. Lets face it your an enthusiast if your active on this forum and understand the limits of the technology - We're pushing them every day!
It seems that Castle went down for the count with the BEC and the "new" version of the MM (which BTW you still can't get in the stores because of missed delivery dates).
I don't want to mix this thread up but I'd also add in the lead time for repairs has consistently been going up and up - It is now 4-5wks when a year ago it was measured in days - This is not a good trend... Having a car out of action for almost 2 months with shipping is a age...
The end...

Before we all pile on Joe, let's keep in mind that we couldn't hear the inflection or tone of his voice when he typed those words. Such is the biggest problem with written communication.
He could simply be really excited about his upcoming product blowing us all away. Maybe it's like 8s 300A and he's can't wait to make us all jump out of our skin. (Let's hope, right? )
My point is that we don't know exactly what he meant by it, so let's not rush to any judgement before he explains himself better.
Word.

well said....i've been meaning to put something similar. let's give poor joe a break - at least he's taken time out of his busy day to post here personally.
i'm very happy with my MM - so happy that i bought a 2nd one for my crawler (i picked it over a 'dedicated' crawling esc from novak). if the day comes when the MMM comes out, and the specs really do blow us away - handle a lot of power and stay cool, with programming and castle's system stability, i'll buy one. be it next month or next year.

I don't think anyone is jumping on Joe specifically. It's just that the MMM has been said to be "coming soon" for the last couple of years now and any email responses received are ambiguous at the least. People are just getting tired of waiting - especially when other companies (Traxxas) doesn't breathe a word and then, BAM, comes out with a totally new system out of the blue. A little marketing to boost anticipation is good, but it's starting to wear on not just a few people.
One bad thing about CC's marketing scheme is that people will have very high expectations thinking that since it took sooo long to create that it MUST be a kick @$$ ESC. Let's just hope that IS the case...

Couldn't have said it better myself. I must say my intention isn't to bash anyone, and this forum is excellent for it's level of maturity . . . however, I was hoping to point out in my post that Joe's comments could easily spark some responses in a negative way. Especially given the current climate of people on the MMM topic. If he (Joe) would like to clarify his thoughts, I'm sure everyone here would love to hear it.

you don't think anyone is jumping on joe (or castle in general)? i've read some pretty testy statements in this thread. maybe people have a different definition of 'jumping on' than i do.
i guess that's not really my point though - my point is that all we really have to fall back on is impatience, and it's not because we don't have other options. after all, we didn't put a deposit down on a MMM. i agree with most of the points made, but just thought i'd throw joe (and castle) a life boat. and to say that even it it takes them another year, i'll buy one if it's good.

Just to clarify my point. I wasn't referring to peoples' feelings about the status of the MMM or any comments relating to it. I am equally as frustrated with the whole situation.
I just noticed a couple of specific statements reacting to Joe's post like "...seems like a deliberate attempt to pour gasoline on a smoldering fire..." and "Not only is that statement potentially combative to your client base...", and I wanted to make sure that "seems like" and "potentially" didn't become any stronger as the thread grew.
For the record, I agree with both posts that it does seem like Joe could have worded his post more clearly, and that it seemed potentially inciteful.
I'm honestly weary of talking about the MMM. I'm just going to try and forget about it until it arrives ... whenever that happens to be.
