Why do you prefer the BK micro series over the Schulze future series?

can the 3695 use 12 lipo cells?....

That's why I want the 40.160, I'm gonna sell my 18.129 and my 18.61 to buy that 40.160.... when I had them last year.. they were big.. but never got any warmer than room temperature.... I even drove my M/T into the pond, fully submerged and the ESC and the Motor was fine. :)

Well, 36 cells of 1.24 volt each is 44.64 volts. It should work..

it would save me lots of money if I could use 6 lipo's on the 3695... :)

but doesn't each lipo cell max out at 4.2 volts...

so 6S would be about 25.2 volts at 4.2 volts a cell..

Has anyone tried 6s on a 3695 or 36120 yet?.. thanks...

I tried 6s and 8s on the 24.89 controller which is *only* $259 dollars. And it worked flawlessly.

First of all, programming the BK does not take that much of time.
Secondly, the Schulze esc are programmed manually in most cases through 6 switches which are very small and subject to damage more than the red jumper that exists in the BKs.
Thirdly, Schulze do not have a good distributer in the USA and so does not BK, but atleast there is a place called rc-monster.com that provides top BK services and sell them for humble prices.
Fourthly, all BK esc are equipped with large, finned, transversed heatsink and most of the Schulze controllers do not use finned heatsinks.
Fifthly, many people fried their Schulze controllers whom I read about in many different forums besides the ones over here and I've only read once about someone who fried his BK 9918.

Perhaps there have been a lot of problems for others. As for me, I've never had problems with Schulze, BK, Hacker, Castle, or Novak brushless controllers. Maybe I've been lucky, but after owning a 12.97, 18.97, U-Force 75, 24.89, and 32.40 and never had problems, I guess I'm lucky.

I've smoked around a SH*T load of 18.61K's and one 18.129(my fault reverse battery)...

but the 40.160 is a very nice ESC... just too pricey...

I've taken out 2 Warrior 9918's (sent first one to BK, got it back 4 months later, damaged it again, now Mike has it). I also have damaged a MGM Compro 120amp. I am not very lucky with RC electronics!

the price on that 40.160 is not my biggest concern.. you need a 1:1 scale truck to bolt it on..

Yeah, you only need a 1/5th scale body to fit over it.. ;)

you know what i mean, its size is absurd... redicilous.. nice for a boat, or a 1/5th but to build a car that is also a bit in vissible condition..
