...No... but just about all. And it shouldnt matter. as long as we can get a statitically significant sample size we should be able to estimate the good/bad percentages within a reasonable number. The ESC showed up to use randomly so the failure rate should represent a random sampleing...
The poll is statistically accurate as long as the same % of people with failures post as the same % of people with success. I still think there are more successes than are being reflected here. How many more? Who knows? The only true gauge of that would be to tabulate the returns at Castle.
IMO, this poll is just roughly indicative of the failure rate.
wow 33 and 28, thats not to good. my question is out of the 33 that worked when they voted, how many have stopped working since then? its looking like they ALL fail eventually, i could be wrong/ and or bitter. #4 and #5 will be my last MMM's, if they dont work screw it. i dont think a company shoul take money from cust. and give them a product that is going to fail. they just got sued right? well what if someone is injured because their controll flamed up? not that it will happen but then again the MMM was suposed to work, the first time, now their are two versions? seems like the production of these controllers is the problem. the first one i had died during calibration and it was "repaired", cold solder joint @ U1. a cold joint? wtf? then i get it back and turn it on and puff!!! yeah i will admit they have been nice to my wife when she called but that is at an end i will be calling next time. good cust. service doesnt mean $#!* to me if the product isnt worth the trouble. sorry all for the rant but i am getting tired of the continual disapointment.
Opened a new V2 yesterday. Installed, no mods. Ran it around for a few minutes in the parking lot, then it just stopped. Very conservative race setup using a clutch and mechanical brakes to take some of the burden off of the ESC.

Our MMM V1 with fan removed is still functional with no issues for a couple months now.

i have about 10 hours on my V1
I have about 2 hours on my V2,4S8000HV maxamps, 2770 kv XL motor
20T 68T erevo. Got things pretty hot today one of the battery wires solder melted... but the ESC is running strong. Seems that more of these problems are happening at 5S and 6S.

Well I do agree that this is only rough. I think it may actually reflect more posistive than there actually are. I voted positive, then it failed. So.... unable to make the adjustment I know each side of the pole is off by at least 1 vote.
The bad thing is my in my area I know of 4 V2 MMMs that have been run. All 4 have died. 3 dead BEC and one in flames.
I personally have had 2 V1s die out of 3 now and know of a 2 more V1s that are still running. SO at this point from what I personally have seen the V1 was actually bettter than the V2. I have another V2 in the box with the seal still on it. I dont even want to mess with it. I am putting my heat modified quark back in. I cant believe I am back to the same place I was 2 years ago....
I can't decide if its more fun
to make it...
or break it...

sounds like your worse off, like me with more money in burnt electronics
This was the replacement for my V1. It worked for about 5 mins and then just stopped. I was doing stop and go driving because I was too lazy to go to the track (good thing I didn't).
Went back inside and plug it into castle link and it armed. Ran it again and stopped after about 10 feet. Plug it to castle link again and this time it didn't arm at all .
This is stock setup, no mods whatsoever.

#3 just quit. No smoke... Just quit...
Running around the street.. It started to act a bit funny.. where it would be running a little forward and it would kind of act like it braked for a second. Did this a couple times and then quit.
Ironically enough.. this was the first time I set ANY of the ESC settings in Castle Link. I turned punch control to 70% and adjust the throttle curve a little less agressive, and of course the LVC to 12.8V.
