Spelling and Grammar!! - 08.10.2009, 02:36 AM

This is just a little venting thread.

I have seen so many people recently using horrible spelling and grammar it makes me sick. I know for some people english isn't their first language, and sometimes you make a mistake or two, but some things are inexcusable.

Some things I hate to see:

sux
ur
u
r
ERBE (this one irritates the heck out of me!!)
ie (when "y" should be used at the end of words)
i (not capitalizing it)
plz (another really bad one)
no (know)
ppl (people)
"y" in place of "i" (i.e. excytement)
Nue (Comes off to me as disrespectful; The guy's name is Steve Neu)

Don't forget your apostrophes! (It's in bold)

Use the correct form of "to"! It's to or too. Take your pick. Not 2.

Use the correct form "your"! Your shows onwnership. You're is a contraction for "you are".

Use the correct form of to be! (am, is, are) Practice

Use the correct form to there! Their represents ownership. They're is a contraction for "they are". There means "It's over there". This might be the thing that bothers me most..

Is it that people just don't care? Please, read your post before you post to make sure it makes sense and to make sure there aren't any horrible grammar errors in it. Go ahead and post your frustrations below, I would love to hear them.
