I don't know about lawsuits.. But, I certainly would be demanding my money back and looking to a different brand.
I think I had posted before, it's almost like we became the beta testers with these... And I will stick it through because the reality is that no one else competes on the same level as Castle. You either pay 150-200 for the MMM or a lot more for, on paper, an inferior product. If/When Castle gets it right, it's going to be a great ESC.. the question is.. how long? At this point, they have all winter for me. There may be another month or so of drivable weather before the crappy stuff sets in, which, I have pretty much written off as both of my MMMs are toast and I don't know when I'll get it back and if it will work.
As unpleasant as it may sound, it the reality of the situation currently.
I hope Patrick sticks around so we can all benefit from both sides, but as mentioned in a few instances, it's not always easy. Expectations are high, frustration runs high, especially of those going from the v1 to the v2 now.

LOL okay lawsuits may be an over statement but my point remains. I think we seem to accept a lower standard with our RC equipment than we do other products we buy. Like I said 3 Mamba Max have failed on me in 10 months yet I still brag about them and consider them the most reliable ESC in the class for the price. I cant think of any other product I buy or use that I would be so generous with my praise of.

Doesn't everybody?
They are a lot easier to find; between the wife and kids, I can never find the remote, but my baseball bats are always behind the front door and the back door.
Ok back to topic.
Come back Patrick!
99.9% of us here at RCM love you and castle products, it is just the .1% that seem to be insulting or tactless
(many negative posts by the same few people) .
Heck we (RCM) have a better failure rate than the MMM (.1%)! (couldn't resist). So don't let a few bad ones stop you from posting.

Wow why so hostile? Why would you assume things so negative. I was simply stating my experience but since you wanna know I have been through this with Bernie and Thomas more than once and they both agree the set up is fine.
Rustler with FLM tranny case running on 6 cell nimh for first two that failed on 2s lipo for second. Motor has heat sink and ESC has Novak fan. There has never been a temp issue. First ESC failure was the switch ripping the wires right off the circuit board, next two just went poof.
Frankly I think I understand how Patrick feels now there are more than a few people here who simply like to just flame others and assume the worst.

That's enough ass-kissing! You guys are making me sick! Here's the deal. Patrick and other CC staff are already on here. They're just too busy working on the ESC. I don't think the issues will be fixed any faster by having them post on the forums on a daily basis. All we need to know is that they are reading the forums, the feedback that is posted on them, and that they're working on the issues. End of story. Let's leave them be so we can get our ESCs back!

Other companies are just a stone wall, all you can do is speculate. I enjoyed the inside information and following the progress of MMM.

wow i leave for a week and come back to this. Well a little late but...
Patrick -
sorry to hear about the situation. I personally like to hear the updates rather they are good or bad. I have always said i wont be mad if the news is bad as long as i know. If you put it off then i find out later than i am pissed. However i have never experienced this with castle. my castle experience has been great.
Others-
This is the internet so grown adults aka children will bitch and complain when all it does is piss people off. the same people repeatedly complain about the same thing. I'm sure we all know what problems you are having, give it a rest.
You don't want the product get your money back and buy somethings else.
I am not perfect and neither are you. nuff said.
I fly, I drive, but most of all I crash.

Patrick,
I for one just got power back today here in Houston (still millions without and much worse) and can very well understand your motivations. I wish at the least that maybe Mike would consider giving you and update post that could only be added to by you and forum mods as to give us up to date information. I very much appreciate your honesty and participation in the forums and hate that recently it has filled up with imbeciles intent on the degradation of the quality and information here.
I also want to let you know personally Patrick that in the aftermath of the storm I was very thankful for the MMM and my Tekno Neu. I hooked my maxx up to my 2 year old sons wagon and spent a lot of time entertaining him pulling him around the sidewalk and streets at my in laws house. Many other kids in the neighborhood were very jealous of the Neu/MMM/Flightpower powered wagon and my sone enjoyed it emmensly. It was so nice to have some aid in helping him pass the time.
For the others, lighten up, CC will get this thing fixed and quick the ridiculous and immature bashing.
