Glad I could take it off your hands too. That was an excellent transaction.

I agree. I will keep my trusty temp gun with me to try it out. I really wanted to gear it around 50.

I may just put the 2.5d in there and see what it does as well. It show 45 which seems like it would be a stretch for that motor in that truck as well. Anyone know what the new savage flux weighs?

DO you plan to run a 63t spur? I am using a 23t pinion right now and looks like I could go down to a 22t, maybe a 21. The 2200 on 6s will be a bit high to gear under 50mph with the 63t spur. You could try to use the 70t spur...

The lst can handle speed well. just make sure you have sway bars.

Thanks, I had thought the 63t was the biggest spur for the LST2. Although looking at the 70t spur it looks as though it will not work with the TDR single speed hub. I looked and realized the 22t pinion and 66t spur will put me right at 50. My main concern is not the speed as much as can the motor handle moving it.

I recently had a cc2200 in a savage geared for 50+ on 5s lipo and it did fine. The savage was having issues, but the tires were not balanced.

The 70t may not work with the tdr hub, never tried to fit it on.

I will try first with the thing geared at 60. If temps come in too high I will get the 66t spur and 22t pinion. All the feedback I have heard on the CC 2200 has been good so I will keep my hopes up.

you can now also use the lst xxl output gears to get almost the same reduction as the swap mod (swap mod 1,89 / xxl gears 1,91). the output gears in the xxl are 29/16 (losb3119). the output gears in the lst2 are 30/15.
you can also do both: swap mod&xxl output gears (1,73 reduction)

Any of you guys racing the LST2's??

I was watching this video of a LST2....and I was amazed. Heck I don't think my Revo could handle that well.

The driver has excellent jump placement skills( judges the how far to jump and where to land very well) plus I think those huge shocks really help.

Having both the LST2 and Revo I truely believe set up properly the LST2 could out handle the revo. It definitely handles rough terrain better by far. I feel that sometimes the revo has too many tuning options making it a pain to get right as well.

The one above definitely shows the capability of a LST2 setup to race.
