No problem, always here to help. As far as EAD, I will leave that in your capable hands (mouth?)

Gee thanks.
I took these with my phone but I thought they didn't look that great till I downloaded, figured I'd share these as well.

Man, you have me wanting to finish my various 6 plus wheeled rcs... I have not touched an rc for a long time. I did just score a mini mill, so I could start turning out some custom machined parts, like transfer diff housings, knuckles, etc. I need to have my buddy weld on the maxx al bulks I have, then I can machine them to shape and finish the old maxx "centipede" (as tdc57 dubbed it)... Maybe in the winter when everything calms down some...

I just spent a few days in Exmouth visiting my Dad, he's a typical 'run for the sun' kind of retiree (I met lots of retiree's up there) and seeing this thread again makes me think 'I want to do that when I retire'. I don't want to mimick what you've done but to spend the hours making and thinking and re-making to create someting like you have would be an awesome feat big kudos buddy

Hey thanks PP, much appreciated my friend.
Building from the ground up like this has a personal reward unlike anything else I've done in RC befor even with fabricating all the misc one off parts I've done in the past. This level of scratch building far exceeds time involved anything I've done prior, the fun level has ben off the charts as well. I'm looking forward very much of starting my replica 1:1 build of my Grand Cherokee scaler, I will be making the frame and everything else from zero. Should be fun.
I've torn the entire 6X6 down to zero and have decided to reconfigure the axles to the standard o--oo axle layout, The #1 & #3 axles will steer only. I also stripped all the paint off the brass work and beefing up and lenthening the bed boom and the tow apperatus. I also have made a entirely new rear bumper thats much heavier duty and scale in size. Have plans for a crawl meet the 29th and hope to have it done and get video.
I will be posting another batch of pics sometime this weekend when I get the big pig back together, stay tuned !

I finished up the last of the revamped brass work this afternoon, may not look like much is different but believe me I added a lot to beef everything up. Extending the boom required some additional braces and the much heavier duty hooks on the tow rig were warranted.
Now time to start putting everything back together, again
New Heavy Duty Bumper
The newly braced and re-hooked tow apparatus
I tweaked this last time trying to get my buddies Hilux unstuck, with the new improved design and length plus the braces this thing should be rock solid now.

Man I need to check this thread more often.
Bondo kept telling me to get ahold of him if I needed a tow job. I thought he was saying, "Toe job" and thought he had a foot fetish.
And James can EAD. No, seriously lincypoo, please?

Given you're a quad I can understand you're not interested in toe jobs but you still persist with James to EAD? I need to go drive the porcelain bus now

Dude, don't give away all of my secrets. I like to maintain an aura of mystery. And I'm not just talking about, "what's that smell". I make my ladies (Linc, Hippie) work for their status as top B.
