Yes, that is torque increasing indeed.

I don't know a brushless motor that doesn't use NIB magnets

One Question I know the 7XL is the most bang for the buck but really how does it compare to the Neu and Lehners. Does the Neu and Lehner have more speed, torque, more smooth running, or D all of the above. What is the real benefit of these motors. For example if some one had 400 bucks to spend on a motor what would be the reasons they go with the Neus or Lehners instead of the Feigaos.

the 7XL is the best bang for the buck.

The neu/Lehner will have got more torque (depending on the model), run a bit more efficient and most important; it runs cooler on partial load

It doesn't mean a 7XL will give you less fun. Not at all.

So what about smoothness does the Neu and Lehners run smoother than the 7Xl (like no cogging). Is the only difference heat and torque. Also when you say it runs more efficient do you mean it gets longer runtime or what do this (efficiency) mean.

more efficent means you get cooler running and a touch longer run time.
Less wattage is gone to heat. MOre wattage to go.

cogging more depends on the controller.

Quark is a smooth conroller.

No, you won't notice a big difference in smoothness, i explained what the big differences are, and that would cover the entire load. Besides a few minor other things people might like/dislike.

Neu/Lehner uses better bearings, but since a bearing is an easy and cheap replaceble item in the wanderer/feigao motors i don't think that it should be a large factor not to buy them.

This may sound weird, but I actually prefer my Feigao 7xl over my Neu 1515! The Neu does have more torque and is better built and runs cooler. None of it worth triple the price. The 7xl has bearings I can replace, excellent performance and no fear of damaging it. I can beat it to a pulp, what's another 90 bucks in this hobby. Get the Neu if you need the coolest running motor possible, but don't feel inferior if you have a Feigao, they are excellent motors!

I can understand where you coming from on that. You can burn a few 7xl up and won't sweat it.

Yeah, that's right Knotted.. the feigao's are not bad considering their price.. I like my setups cool though! it all depends on what you want. But i still have got a few feigao types of motors.

Other than a heatsink i dont think theres any better way of keeping it cool! Conservative gearing is also gonna help in a cool motor, overgeared and undergeared wont be good.

The problem with nitro's these days are that they arent brushless... LOL
