well, decided that i'm a gonna do without the reverse gear for now....seeing how i'd need to buy a micro servo and fab yet another servo mount....haha...

so i removed the opti-drive....

the hole in the tranny needed to be "blocked up" and also, needed to have something to lock the shifter rod in place...
here's what i came up with...

It does to me, I can't draw and still learning emachine , so i do most designing in my head. When i get close i start looking at details.

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

you guys got my wondering about something,
do you use good alu or w/e you are making parts from or do you use crappy stuff first to try if it fits?

i use the good stuff straight off as the cost of the good alu is cheaper than the cost of my TIME i can afford to put into these projects (two attention seeking kids, and an angry wife!:005: )

and ...seeing how i dun have any drawings to follow, i make up the design as i go along....hence, i never "botch" up..."wink wink" :005:

overtki11: Maybe I missed something in a previous post, but the Revo forward-only conversion comes with the little cover for when you remove the Optidrive. It also comes with a little plug for the gear shifter. That little machined cover looks nice though...

That thing looks amazing. Awesome job with it. And congrats on finshing it. It is always nice to look at a project you just finshed, and really like what you did to it.
