Kinda disappointed. Nice improvements to the E-Maxx, and alluding to future brushless power, but not radical like I had hoped. I won't buy one.

I just saw it. Waterproof e-maxx basically. Some other cool new things though. Waterproof servos and a new tranny most notably.

dual steering servo's.. optional single motor motorplate.. Neat..

These diffs look different than the revo types.. there is more metal in them?

Did I just hear Tekno breath a sigh of relief?

They do say its setup for dual VXL installation. So we were all (almost) right.

Its a "maybe-BL VXL 3.3 BoatMaxx" lol

New chassis, and basically brushless ready. "optional" auto 2 speed, so does that mean it come set up with a single speed.

I guess they dont have the vxl5 or 6 ready yet so release its basically ready to run with brushless power.

It still will need diffs IMO. Other than that it looks ready to roll with brushless.

Not bad traxxas. Still would rather see a revo.

I can't decide if its more fun

A big one!

I wonder if the gmaxx chassis and all will still bolt up. I would imagine they wouldnt change it that much. Still keeping all of the basic geometry and all. The new tranny look like it will eliminat the need for the Gmaxx single speed conv though.

it says they tested it on on two velineon systems. i can't imagine the diffs needing to be replaced if its holding that...

I love the cam steering setup, and sealed radio box. I'm already planning to get some of those Rx boxes to use on other projects. Small enought for a reciever but not so big that its meant for the rx bateries too.

Battery trays in the new chassis look like they will be very flexible as to the battery shape and size. Easily accomodate lipos or whatever you want. Extended wheelbase too. Still not a low enough COG for racing though. Revo slipper as expected, but still nice.

They list the diffs as "Revo-Spec" If they are revo difs they wont hold up. The ones in my revo never did. This could be a good thing for mike if they are revo diffs. As far I know he has the only 1/8 revo diff upgrade on the market.

Yeppers, the Revo conversion will still own, but nice to see something for the Emaxxers. I would guess the BL was not done as it was too expensive at this point. For a RTR, it would be a hard sell at surely $600+ when the nitro Mts are cheaper than that, and just need fuel.

Funny thing is, aside from the tranny and st servo, not much improves upon the aftermarket stuff avail for the maxx. A much better truck outta the box, but I don't see a huge surge away from FLM and others coming.

I hope the tranny and bellcrank have the same mounting positions. I'd hate to have to buy a new truck to makeuse of those upgrades.

The RX box is cool, I will definatily be getting a few of those.

I like it, At last the Emaxx can stand in the sun as an equal to the Revo and Tmaxx. Matter of fact, it leapfrogs the big T by a bunch

Work because i gotta, play because i wanna

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

Now they just need to come out with a roller version so we dont have to strip all of the electrics and sell them. I want it woth no motors, speed control, servos, Tx or Rx.
