well it think it would cost about 150-ish depending on what they leave aluminum. skids, ect. if your gonna make one from scratch you might want to start a thread and we can help you get a parts list together. also, what did you have in mind for lipo? 5S? 6S? and what kinda price range you got for a motor. for a cheaper but high quality, reliable motor i would go with the feigao xl. 7, or 8 probable. or if you would spend more i would go with a lehner 1930 with segmented magnets. there smoother and more efficient.

I would not recommend the 7xl because of run time. You get the g2r kit and swap out the bottom plate to cf. You can get these seperate from gorrilla. A 9xl with the 8000 should make it the end and have some juice left. good luck
Peace!

Squee's estimate should be pretty close to upgrade to CF. Maybe even a little high. Basically, the 4 upper plates and the lower plate are the CF parts to be switched out.

1930 motors are about $250. I have the 1930/8 in my G2R and love it. Runs like a champ!

People here hate Nitro, I love it. I start it, run it about 50 ft from me and it dies, I go after it. Perfect exercise

Welcome to the RCM forum, sepukku!
You just found the right site! Mike is a Gorilla dealer, and he will get the g2r as soon as it gets available.
Just shoot him an e-mail, and he will put you on the list. He can also get you everything else you'll need to complete the truck.
Crazyjr, Mike told me he runs 5S thru his 1930/8.

Welcome to the forums, Sepukka. :)
These kits will be ready in about a week, so really no need for a pre order at this point. I should have the front and rear assemblies by Monday or Tuesday as well, along with the custom length drive shafts(which are needed). Motor/controllers will also be along about the same time, so the wait is ALMOST over!
Crazyjr - the 1930/8 runs great on 4s or 5s lipo, actually. It is a touch larger than the "s" feigao motors - smaller than the "L". For its size, it is an amazing motor.

thanx for the info -

Thanx guys...
i really need to get this chassis from you folks..as although i know these things were designed for electric.
i will be taking your kit that converts the revo to electric and then convert it back to nitro..
kinda weird..but your chassis seems like the only solution left.
the factory chassis is made to leave room for profit generating breakage for the manufacturer...
the other brands that i will not mention are just not engineered correctly.
then we have you folks.....work of art..and function. your design should eliminate all issues with the other chassis.
i just can't wait to get my hands on this...

Now that is interesting! A nitro to electric conversion that is converted back to nitro! Sounds pretty neat! I hipe you will post some pictures of the finished product!

Me, too, would like to see your finished project.
I have also thought about a truggy conversion (center diff / dual brakes) useing the x-brace chassis. But since I'm a dedicated electric nut, this was only daydreaming.

Hey Mike, would the 1930/8 be a better setup than a 9xl with a 4s lipo setup. Could it be used with a 9920 controler?

Define "better", I guess. Either combo would be killer and they both would be perfectly fine with the 9920. My guess is the Lehner would give a longer runtime and a slightly quicker acceleration, but the 9xl would be sweet for a heavy truck. If the rtr vehicle is under 10 pounds, I would take the 1930 any day.
