Pretty much the same story for me! One smoked Monster, followed by all kinds of gremlins with both 1/8th and 1/12th truggies. Also my ankle is still swollen and sore from getting hit by someone's truggy during the A-main. Sorry for messing up whoever hit me but the damn Marshall threw my dead truck in the middle of the straightaway so it was sitting sideways! On the plus side....Mike had a MMM to sell me so I could still run ( don't know why it wouldn't work during the main cause it works fine now and I haven't done anything to it, I even left the unused battery in it from the main). I think I have the CRT.5 figured out, just a stupid little issue. Look forward to next year!

Damn dude, that was me. I meant to ask you about that... :( I didn't even see you there at the end of the straight in the track until just before the truck hit you and I was going WOT. Was not expecting stationary objects to be there. Hope you are alright.

I had horrible luck also, didn't finish a single race w/ the old Revo (should have sold it and got that slash instead...)
Truggy was going ok, but the main was awful, anything that could go wrong did go wrong, including hitting Joe apparently. (esc wire came out of RX, had to pull it off, got bitched at by race announcer for jumping track after marshall put me in the wrong place and I drove over pipe to get back to my part of the track, tried to drive around a pile up nicely only to get hit by some guy pulling out of it then being picked up last...and apparently slammed into Joe's leg at 35-40mph) I don't understand how I didn't end up in last place on that one. Sure felt like it.

Lastly was the .5s. The one race that was going well all day, then I lose a stupid motor screw. I was able to quickly just pull it over, shove the motor back towards the spur with the one screw left, and put around like my grandma so it didn't DNF.

I felt much better after I was able to do the long jump contest. Got the F'ing Revo to do a full backflip on two or three jumps. Best I got was two laps on that thing all day, but somehow coming down from 15ft high backflips repeatedly doesn't break it. wtf.

Oh well, was lots of fun anyways (after I get over being so pissed how it went lol) and it was nice seeing you all again. Jhautz can't complain too much as I know he was tearing around in the mini-hyper. Nice racing.

The escs had a hard day. Luckily both my v2s made it thru, but saw one Tekin on fire, (Joe and I marshalled that one :) ) an I don't know how many MMMs died. Thanks for that at least.

One more thing, big thanks to walter (HnC) for repeatedly lending me Revo tranny parts as mine kept grenading on me

... not that it helped me actually finish a race (3x tranny failures) but the backflips kicked ass.

i think this needs to be twice a year event. i had a blast. contrary to some i didnt touch a tool all day and my truggy was hooked up. was upsetting to see so many esc problems. i thought that was a thing of the past.

It was my pleasure - Hope everyone had a good time and how great would it be to have 2 a year instead of one - WOW - Thanks to Monster Mike for all his knowledge and expertise in the field..

It was a gremlin day for sure - my revo drove to start line and then refused to start the race... Gave up on it but tried again later and it worked fine until it busted a rod end at the end of the first lap in the main...

I hate bullets - managed to pull out two sets of motor leads whilst racing and a set of motor mount screws backed out...

All in all though no "serious" breakages and a great day...

Sadly my best run of the day was the first buggy qualifier when I accidentally ran with the nitros! I got my only 40 second lap of the day in that race...

I just don't race enough but it does feel great to land perfectly a tripple...

PS I know of three MM that played up (joe's, mine and 1 other - but the first two are working fine now), 1 tekin smoked and mike had an issue with one of his tekin setups (might have been motor though)

Def a day of gremlins! My first mmm went up in smoke, new one acted up during the main but seems to be 100% now after doing absolutely nothing to it. The mm on my CRT.5 wasn't powering up the rx, but the rx had power, later found I needed to re-bind after switching some stuff around. Fun day overall though. The Tekin on fire was pretty amazing!

It looked like you guys had a blast for sure. Something came up and I couldn't make it this year. Did anyone take pics and videos of the event?

I'm pretty new to the game but have been running at the Barn since winter (indoors) and had never raced outside till this weekend. I burned up a servo in practice on my (new to me)RC8 which I had never raced before so I pulled out the trusty Slash and it ran better than I was driving until I got a little behind on my steering and ripped a shock off on the oval track inside the barn. I got to meet RC Monster Mike and the Illinois boys...11 hours?? You guys are hardcore. Plus the usual cast of characters which is always pretty entertaining.

Finnster- my ankle will be fine, swelling is almost gone, just black & blue and a little tender still but much better. Not your fault, I blame a rookie marshall for throwing my truck into the lane at the end of the straight! Thought I had enough time to get it off but you must have been flying cause there was no one coming around the corner onto the straight when I stepped onto the track.

Lutach- there was pictures and video taken but I have no idea by who! I never bothered to pull my camera out.

I think we need a forum name to real name translation. I know some of you guys but not all...I was pitting outside with a crew of mostly nitro guys from my "home" track so I missed out on much of the indoor action...
