What I like with the plastic shock towers is the amazing flex. I am not to found of using aluminium at stress areas at all. I have considered to make my own shock tower in Kevlar, or perhaps even better glass fiber (as it flexes a bit more & would be very cheap to make in larger numbers as I plan to break a few..).

Here is a video of the first bench test I did this wednesday evening.

And the direct link if the video does not work

Here's the complete truck with body - RTR

There's a lot of air between the body and the chassies, but the shock towers prevent it from being lowered any further.

I can't get the youtupe wrap to work - here's the direct linkt to the 3 videos I uploaded Thursday evening. Unfortunately not edited at all and almost stormy conditions - I'll make something more professional when I have some more material to work with.

To get the vids to work, copy the characters after the equal sign (=) in the video link and pasted them in the 'youtube dialogue box' when preparing the thread... see the below....

Awesome truck, you got me very interested in learning how to lay my own CF and kevlar.

Looks like your going to need some one million weight oil for the center differential!

For speed runs though I think the current amount is more accurate.

When you get those towers made maybe you can get a body that fits the quality of the rest of the truck.

Does need a slightly longer shell, maybe one made from kevlar

Insane amounts of power, those poor tyres wont last too long- got to love overkill

Thanks for the nice words and the help with youtube!

I thought I should post some images of the battle scars from the 5-10 minutes ride I did so far.

Blistered arms, wont last long, but will at least help me get rid of the colour of the springs

Some bent screws from the only jump I did.. Needs some serious re-engineering here.. I could see that coming - but wanted a test ride so bad..

I'd have to get some new wheels though, so I can have them taped. Any suggestions?
