The 1520 is longer, so it will handle the same power as the 1515 at a higher efficiency, even if the voltage is the same. You can run it on 4S lipo, will be great.

Thanks lincpimp and nuz69 for the replies... the 1520 it is!

It should fit the flux without modifications right?

You want to use the 1520 in the stock length flux? Don't think it will fit, it's close enough with the Desertboy conversion.

This stuff is approx. the same length, if you can fit it, the 1520 should aswell. (used as a mockup on my XL)

I am chatting from work right now, I'll measure the space available to see if I can fit the 1520... if not, I'll try the 1518.....

Something tells me I'll end up getting the 1520 and XL tvps.... I'm scared.... hehehe, wife is not gonna like this....

But at the price of the 1520 right now, you can buy a XL tvp setup and the motor and still be cheaper than the motor's original price.

My order is schedualed for delivery on Tuesday.

All you guys whom haven't received shipping confirmation be patient, I can only imagine how bad Castle was bombarded with orders with those sick prices.

I was wanting to get a new motor with the prices they're at...just not sure which one.

currently running a jammin x1 crt with the mmm/2200kv combo on 4s
don't really want to buy bigger batts right now......so which one should I go with?
bashing only, don't do any speed runs just something with good power the 1520?

Thanks

BTW, can anyone who ordered a 1717 check their online invoice (email with this link: https://billpay.quickbooks.com) if it says CAR or AIR version on the invoice?

Either the 1518 or 1520 would be a great bashing motor in the Jammin. No worries with either!!

The 2 versions of the 1717 have different KV's;
The air version(open endbells) has 1580kv
The ground based version has 1500kv

It doesn't say which version on my invoice (Car or Air) it just lists the KV
