It's just screwed into the slipper clutch. I used (3) 3x6mm hex head screws.

Have you decided to upgrade your gears now?

No, but it's good to know if I do upgrade to a bigger motor in the future.

FYI I used some molybdenum grease on the gears and it made them feel much smoother and they seem to make less noise when running. That's one issue I have with the Mod 1 gears is the increase in noise from the larger mesh. I hope I can still hear the motor, since the sound is a big part of why I bought it in the first place!

Cool. I've never tried any of the ESP stuff, but I have looked at it several times n the past- not the highest finish quality, but certainly not the worst either, just good value useful parts.

Still looks great man. What type are the rear flipped shocks?

Same ones as before. They are the Proline Powerstroke shocks.
Now the tough decision: Keep the 4s and build another car for all-out speed, or, upgrade the electronics to run the max 6s on the 600xl?

I'd be inclined to build another car for all-out speed, someting with 4wd would make life much easier I think.

IMO if you want all out speed, you will have to go the dragster route.
But I would just do the 6s on your current rustler.

Hmm... I seem to remember a certain 4wd 1/8 onroad car I bought a little while back... I think BrianG is building one right now.

Yeah, 4s is gonna be plenty for the Rustler. I drove it today with the 20/40 gearing and yet again would not reach the top end on my street. It still has room to gear up, too.
I bought a Viper body for the "other car" which happens to be an Ultra GTP. I just need to buy a motor mount and figure out a power system. It will be RWD as well, and I've already pulled out all of the unnecessary parts. It's probably 5oz lighter now. A new thread will be started for this project.
