Real nice conversion Jordan, that neu motor does must weight alot, doesn't this strain alot on the single carbon fiber mount?

Maybe making another sort of mount on the back of the can?

Thanks for the comments guys!!

@rommel, its not running yet, hopefully these 2nd batch MMM's aren't too far away...

@supermaxx, thats a good point, i am going to make a brace under the back of the motor, but i need to get the driveshafts first to make sure i have enough clearence. It is surprisingly rigid though, with only one of the plates, it was flexing all over the place, but with two i can drop it from about 3 feet and there doesn't seem to be any flex in the motor mount.

thanks again

At the moment, yes it does. I'm not too fussed about that, it'll just be a basher. Nothing the trusty dremel can't handle if i do need to change gearing though

It wasn't too hard to do, all it took was a dremel and a couple of files... oh, and alot of time

I'm going to be running 2 3s packs in series for 6s. Definately 5000mah and probably 25c. I'm thinking along the lines of Flightpower or Neuenergy etc. at the moment. I've found a place to get Neu 3s 5000mah 25c packs for $130 each, pretty good deal i think.

wow that thing is going to be rip lol. cant wait for a vid.

oh and seeing this thread has got me thinking about maybe getting a neu motor. cause im running a lot less kv then you are on 6 cells and its the limit of the motor. (or i dont really want ot push it any more)

i see what you mean, 6s on this motor means roughly 50,000rpm. Which i think is comfortably under the 60,000rpm limit of the Neu motors. Reason i chose this kv is so i could get the max performance out of 6s, because i don't want to be spending big $$ on heaps of lipos and HV ESC's.

haha yah thats another reason. i can only go up to 80 amps and 6 cells lol. and i think i might be at the limit of my gearing. cause i know if i gear it for any faster it well go over 80amps. but at least the esc well shut down befor it goes over 80
