Thanks guys..............

Just get a pair of sidewinder 4600 systems... That will move a clod pretty good on 3s!

I would keep the clod, I have one somewhere and planned to make a super class crawler out of it. Pretty much already setup to that spec anyways.

Or 6x the opposite....

which would be 1/6th..... wheres my cookie ( <--- joke)

linc had the best recomendation, a pair of sw 4600 on a pair of 2s pack or just one BIG BAD 2s pack geared for 30 or so should be great. and cheeper than any other setup...

How fast are you trying to go with a Clodbuster?

Arct1k 05.29.2009 05:00 PM

Mines at least 5.0mph

I'm not looking to run in any crawler class, just drive around in the yard and brag that I have BL clodbuster. I would like to keep its factory appearance, stealth mode.

The clodbuster was my second rc vehicle right after my black foot. I souped it up with "Trinity Matched Madness" motors, adjustable gear mounts, 6 "D" size Nicad and Novak Rooster. It also had 1/4 scale steering servo on a custom mount, full aluminum steering bellcranks and .500 inch lift kit. It carried a 55 chevy truck body by Parma I think, painted yellow by me and had one of Parma's Hemi Motor kits poking out of the hood. I had the body so that it would tilt back funny car style and hid all of the electronics the best I could. Of course it had full ball bearings and a chassis brace "ESP" and two home made ladder arm braces. It was the coolest thing in 1990 (13 years old) (way before computers) I ended up trading the truck away when I was 15 for parts to my real 4x4, 1982 Toyota 4x4 with a 350 small block chevy and 35 inch Boggers on a 13 inch lift kit.

So this clod is something just to remind me a little of my past. haha

I will look into the sidewinder setup.
