My battery bridge adaptor uses Deans just because that's what I used on the battery packs, but the connection between the bridge adaptor and the ESC, as well as the motor wires, will be using the 5.5mm connectors.

The only downside to using the individual 3.5/5.5mm connectors is that there is a possibility that you can reverse the polarity if you are not paying attention since there is no key.

Also, try to put the female end where there is power to help prevent accidental shorting on the frame or whatever. The male end should go on the load since it won't hurt anything to short those by accident. I also plan to fabricate some type of shroud over each connector to completely insulate them from anything else, yet still allow easy removal.

both the wires will fit in one 5.5 mm plug. the socket part already is on the motor.

You need to make a deans on the esc or make a adapter of the deans and plug adapter.

Yea but how do I make 2 wires into 4 wires???

Sneeck 02.15.2006 03:09 PM

Thanks, that's in series right? Right now I have my Titan's hooked up so I can work out all the "bugs" lol. Right now I am having t
trouble getting my MX3 working. It want's to run backward:confused: Anyway here's some pic's

P.S. I know the wiring is junk but I will fix that when I put the 9920 and the 8XL on.

Sneeck 02.15.2006 03:46 PM

Yep in serie's.

You need to reprogram the evx, or reverse channel 2 on the transmitter.

mmdooley 02.15.2006 03:51 PM

Reverse channel 2??? Not sure what your talking about

Sneeck 02.15.2006 04:02 PM

You got channel 1 for the steering and channel 2 for the throttle. If needed you can switch the direction of both of them(like left - right become's right - left, forward - reverse becomes reverse - forward). This is handy in a situation like your's.

Look in the manual. Very easy to do.

mmdooley 02.15.2006 04:07 PM

Oh yea I tried that and the motors run wide open. Then I tried going threw the programing procedure again and no luck???

Sneeck 02.15.2006 04:14 PM

Yeah that is correct. After you reverse the channel you need to adjust the neutral of channel 2(trim).

mmdooley 02.15.2006 04:20 PM

Ok, Thanks for the help :027: Does it lose programing when the batterys are unhooked? Because it was working and then it quit

A little off-topic, but I was looking at the pcitures in your post and was wondering if there was a reason why the tread on the front and rear tires face different directions?

mmdooley 02.15.2006 05:04 PM

No I just put the tires on to make sure there were no odd sounds comming from the drive train.
