well actually the play is in the wheel opening. not the hex drive. But i think it will be fixed when i get more bite with the wheel nut.

If you use a hex drive that is tight on the axle (like the Losi) the and the wheel fits tight on the hex (which it does), the play in the wheel opening won't matter. |
