Have you ever tried the moabs on the pede. That would be a massive tire then.

I don't think you can get 1/2 inch offset 40 series wheels, which would be required to fit them to a pede.

Actually the Proline Velocity 6 40's I've got on my Tmaxx do have a 1/2" offset compared to standard Maxx rim offset. Those Moabs are heavy... Traxxas makes potent nitro motors, flings them like no problem. They'd fit the Pede, barely sorta. But...

I think the Pede's chassis (even the "ext" FLM alum) is maxed with the Maxx tires. Plus I want to keep some plastic drivetrain parts, even a-arms where possible. Maxx trucks use 8 large a-arms, the pivot balls, & larger axles, etc... I'd need more cells too, probably 8-10; I don't think the 380C-6L will crank 1HP & survive too long (some do run 10cell tho). My Tmaxx is getting RPM a-arms tomorrow since the stocks show plastic strain, & I like the replacement policy.

I want to bash the Pede as hard as it used to let me... otherwise I could have done a BL Emaxx (at about twice the price tho). Got my 4tec steel stub axles & RPM cover; still no Swami Bar tho... starting to worry, it was shipped, then not, then shipped, etc...

A strong wheelie bar for pede/rustlers, also protects motor somewhat.

Here a link to a site where it's purchased from.

Seems he's have difficulties with his machinest... my timing is great eh? We have a digicam that does good video, my wife could use to film the stampede/Tmaxx, but without the wheelie bar, Feigao motor wires eat ground.

Here's a pic of it...

Yeah, been like that for about a week or so. But before then it was all good. You could even get full hex head screw sets & stuff. I feel he'll get it sorted in fairly short order, as he sells other stuff, & his news indicates he's working with his new machine shop.

Worst case, I'll radius mine from 1/8" 6061 as he did and add the axle tube for the airplane wheels, after I get my $30 back. But I doubt it'll go down this way.

I'm still a newb to this site and sensorless brushless, but I am looking to replace the Novak SS 5800 in my Pede right now.

Is the Feigao 380C-6L a 380 sized motor? or is it the regular 540 size?

squeeforever 04.02.2006 12:55 AM

380 size

As mentioned, it has a 400 size rotor, because of it's length & heatsink it has the size of the 540 can on the outside. I believe the 5800 is ~13-12T (some say 10T) performance. The 6L is more like 7-8T. Similar in power & amp draw to the 5.5T GTB. ~550watts peak (100A+ spikes) when you nail the throttle for couple secs, then goes to ~350watts (over 40amps) or so to keep zipping at 40+mph. This assumes 6cell. 7cell is better. Some use 8-10cell, but bearing life will suffer then.
