I have some longer can aveox 27 series motors, around 50 mm. I am also looking for some sort of slide on heatsink for the 27/28 series, 360 deg design, with a slot cut to allow you to spring it apart for installation.[/QUOTE]

How about one of these

Leopard also makes 28 size 4 pole brushless motors. They all have 4mm shafts though...

Yeah, I had suggested those too, but I think he was looking for a different wind

Lightflight motors look good, but I would like a 1 turn version of the short can.

A bit off-topic here, but when is the last time you ordered from NSP?

It was quite a while ago, I stopped buying planes and started the move back to boats in '05.

Have you considered the Neu 1112 and 1115 motors. They are power houses which run cooler than anything else out there

I didn't mention Neu as they are a bit oversize, 1.14" is 29mm, which may pesent mounting issues, I have a car which mounts down a tunnel and it would be a hell of a job to fit a motor just 1mm bigger, very good motors though if it will fit.

While more powerful for sure the 1112 and 1115 are much bigger motors, the 1112 is the equivalent of the 16/30/x and the 1115 is the 16/40/x. If the Mega 1515/2or3 is suitable for the application the equivalent Neu would be 1105/4to6D at .25 ounces lighter or 11071.5-2Y at .65 ounces heavier.
