I read both of those but thought it would be difficult to do... If I used stock knuckles then which one would be easier? The second way looks expensive haha

I'm not sure you could do it with stock knuckles, since you need to change both bearings- it may be tricky to find any that fit well with or without shimming. Only way to find out is to grab the cvds and start experimenting- you can get them pretty cheap on ebay so no great loss if you can't make them work.

The first link you posted says you can use stock carriers I believe? Yeah you're right its just money is tight atm so I can't afford to make too many mistakes haha... Also I have very few tools so most work will have to be done at school.
Are there then limits to what arms I could use with the Losi ones likewise the traxxas ones?

Any a-arms should be fine, they won't affect what knuckles or driveshafts you can use. Probably could use the stock knuckles, I think I did see someone try that route by reaming the bearing recesses to fit shims now that you mention it...

I think I'll probably just go with the traxxas CVD's as all I need is in there and I don't have to try and figure it out, once I get up and running and if I find issues then I may try to convert to the Losi ones...

Seen plenty of guys using them, no complaints really; anything will bend if you crash hard enough but for normal bashing & jumping I think they'll be fine ( quite a beefy design & good quality aluminium ). :yes:

How do they compare to Widetracs and other UE stuff? I won't be too silly :whistle:

I think they compare pretty closely- both come in 6061 T6 aluminium flavour ( though UE also use 7075 T6 for the hi-impact variants I think ), both are very chunky and well braced, plus FLM have their life-time warranty offer on parts, so they will discount the price on replacements if you manage to bend them.

You don't have to. The widetracs have the same geometry with the stock arms.

But aren't the bearings in the knuckles a different size to the stock ones?

You probably won't be able to find either UE driveshafts or knuckles.

If you get the WideTrac and use the titanium turnbuckles that comes with it you need the old style knuckles/axles carriers like the RPM T/E-Maxx 1.5 & 2.5 Axle Carriers:
