Are the power handeling characteristics identical as well?

Do you know the Amp and Watt limits, and the RPM limits?

I'm looking at the 8XL size.

Well the internals are IDENTICAL so there both gonna be abough 1800 watts if I remember correctly, and as for RPM's, keep them between 35 and 40k. So basically, which motor you want depends on how many cells. Also, the fewer the cells, typically, the higher KV motor your gonna need, so that will result in a higher amp draw. So choose the wind carefully.

I ended up getting the Quark 125b and Fiegao 540C-7XL... I'm not planning on running more than 14 cells, so this setup should be pretty good for me.

Total: 350 bux shipped!

I'll keep updating this with the progress on my conversion, thanks to Squee for his help.

No problem!

I just got my Quark 125b.. It looks great but I have yet to run it.

Still have to solder on the bullet connectors. I'd also like to add a heatsink to the quark because of the responses we've gotten about overheating.

I'm assuming those of you who have added heatsinks have added them to the BOTTOM of the quark, not the top where the words are printed?

PS: My project will be logged over on my website, so keep an eye on it if you're interested. http://www.deependstudios.com/rc.html
