pro, im bor at bros lol
yes gearing will, but at the right gearing and voltage it wont be very fast, well not as fast as it could be |
i think he knows who you are.

A good analogy for anyone into 1:1 cars..... The 7700 is like a Turbocharged 1.8 TOYota motor. in a small lightweight car appropriately set up its really fast, but put it into a heavy chassis or gear it improperly, etc. and it sucks big time. That's why the guys who are most successful with their brushless MT's are using 1500 - 2200 Kv motors and higher voltage/cell counts to provide superior power, lower temps, and greater reliability. Much like a well built torquey V8. Matching the Kv to your chassis and batter packs is VERY important. The 7700's are best suited to 4 & 5 cell touring cars. IMO. |

might even be related to ***RC*** LOL! |

now this makes sense to me, good way to put it pro!! |

like you said the other day he is from the south he is related to everybody. |

ha, but anyways i think he could maybe run the 5700 thats what all the pedes are running.
|
5700 would be ok on 6 cells the 4600 for 7 cells.
|
yeah, i want to try the 6900 in the bling 4.

yes i am related to everyone, its how i roll:018: :005: :013: :010: :027:  |
id still run the 4600, u need torque, then a 3 cell lipo would add som CRAZY torque and u could gear it up for SPEED :D

Right BOR aka E-maxx Rocks,
A 7700 would work with low voltage but it just won't work well. A lower Kv motor is much better for this app. Another 1:1 example....... 2007 Dodge Charger........... Available with 2.7L (190hp), 3.5L (250hp), 5.7L (340hp), and 6.1L (425hp) The car weighs 4100 pounds (roughy between 4000 and 4300 based on options) The 2.7l moves the car around and is fine but not very powerful. Each step up gives more speed and BETTER acceleration. The 7700 in the Jato is like the 2.7L in the Charger.....overworked! A 4600/5700 is like the 3.5L Works fine Decent Acceleration A Feigao 8XL would be like the 5.7L Runs Hard. A NEU1512 or 1515 would be like the 6.1L Kicks Butt! |
very nice comparison pro.

I guess I need to just get rid of the 7700. I've got no use for a touring car motor. I have no interest at all in onroad stuff. I was hoping to be able to use it in something offroad, but it's not looking good.
I bought the motor and the ESC barely used for about 1/2 price, so it was worth it for the ESC alone. Anybody want to buy a MM 7700kv motor? Got something you want to trade? |
