If you direct solder, simply do as squee said. this info is also in the "how to program your BK controller" post.

where is that red program jumper thinger? i see a red thing beside some wires but it is covered by shrink wrap on the esc

Gustav 11.03.2005 12:34 PM

The red one is behind the red battery wire on the bottom of the controller under the the shrink wrap.the black one is behind that and in a bit.

If you look at my thread, wiring, there is a photo on the first page. The jumper is under the positive wire on the 9918.

toby 11.03.2005 02:22 PM

alright, i carefully cut out some of the wrap around it to get at it just incase. thanks guys,

Your Welcome toby (which is easy to say for me, since this is my first post in this thread..:p )

question. those wires look like about 12 gauge wire. would you be able to wire them up 1 red 1 black per connector so you dont have to use a Y harness? the look alot thinker than the 9920 wires.

toby 11.03.2005 09:50 PM

if your talking about what i think you are, i was going to wire a plug to the top black and the top red and one to the bottom black and bottom red. does that look alright though?

coolhandcountry 11.03.2005 10:03 PM

If you solder the plugs on to each wire like talking about. One red and black to 1 plug and second red and black to other 2 plug. You will be running your batteries in parrellal form not series.

toby 11.03.2005 10:05 PM

so i cannot do ti that way? does that look good how i have it>?

coolhandcountry 11.03.2005 10:15 PM

If it reaches everything you need it to yes. You can do it that way but if you have 7cell packs 3300 mah. YOu will be running 7cells in parrellal for 6600mah. IF it helps. sorry if confusing you toby.

toby 11.03.2005 10:21 PM

yeah, you kind of are, i am running two 9 cell packs. gp 3300

coolhandcountry 11.03.2005 10:39 PM

sorry for that toby. Ok will 9 cells then. you want to run 18 cells I believe. If you hook them in parrellal you won't run but voltage of 9cells and not 18. I not sure if I understood you right on the wiring. You need to solder the two red wires to a plug 1 + side. You need to wire the two black wire to the - side of the plug 2. Then take a wire or two and run between the remaining - plug 1 and + plug 2

toby 11.03.2005 10:42 PM

i cannot do it the way i want to then? i cannot understand what you are saying, i have to solder to wires to one lead off the plug? and then what kind of wire do i put from the positvie to the negative?

coolhandcountry 11.03.2005 10:54 PM

something simaliar to what is coming from esc. I trying to find a pic some where around here.

http://www.rc-monster.com/forum/show...5&pagenumber=4

here is the thread. It has a pic of the way you need to wire yours up. I hope it helps you out. yours will have two wires instead of one coming from esc

toby 11.03.2005 11:03 PM

isn't it going to be hard to solder two wires to the one lead thing? and i put a negative wire from positive to negative? what kind of shrink wrap do i use? this is SOOO COMPLICATED

squeeforever 11.03.2005 11:09 PM

it doesnt matter what color it is. its just typically red + and black -. it doesnt have to be black. also, just run the red wires to the positve terminal of the deans and then the black wires to another deans; just the negative...duh. and the run a jumper from the first deans to the second. on will be positive and the other side will be negative. no, its not to have to solder it if you have at least soldered before. i would recommend practicing. also, just use some standard shrinksleeve.

toby 11.03.2005 11:12 PM

i know how to wire it now, jus tlike the one in that diagram. i just don't understand this series and parrallel stuff that's all.
