That is one way to give it less flex,
Those things, on the end, are they from Conrad? (if so, you can also get them in left-threaded ) You can loose those things as well, it would become some lighter as well. You don't need it to hinge anymore, now you made it rigid. |
How did you mount the antenna mast?
Can you provide a pic of it? Thanks |
Hummer destroyed
Meanwhile I destroyed my Hummer Body completely....
So I had to paint me another one. http://www.designag.com/maxx/IMG_2645.jpg http://www.designag.com/maxx/IMG_2663.jpg http://www.designag.com/maxx/IMG_2643.jpg http://www.designag.com/maxx/IMG_2631.jpg http://www.designag.com/maxx/IMG_2612.jpg |

Oh gosh, these are two nice trucks.
The rims, both of 'em, give me sleepless nights.....gotta have something like this:Love: |
Tires
I am just buck from driving the maxx. Everything went fine, no broken parts at all.
Just one thing that drives me crazy, the tires wont stay on the aloy rims.... each time when I drive (after 2 or 3 Battery packs) I have to glue the tires on the rims again. I already use tire glue (and today I tried another superglue) without success Any help on that?? |
Snad papar the rims. Then glue the tires. What glue are you using
|
You will definately need to scuff the rims for best results. Losi tire glue is the best I have used. A rough finish and the Losi glue should hold them on there.
|
Found the Perfect glue
This black superglue, is from loctite.
It is especially to glue rubber to alloy, and works awesome. I tried all available superglues for tires, but none of them is as good as this one. http://www.designag.com/maxx/l.jpg |
By the way my todays results...
The Maxx is unbelievable powerful... but next week I will built in two additional batteries to a total then of 18, to see what will happen...:D Check the pics what happened today I bend the complete rear right side, including the tower, the lower- and the upper arm. The good thing, the integy bulkheads are still O.K. As you can see I built a new wheelie bar, this one now works very well. http://www.designag.com/maxx/g1.jpg http://www.designag.com/maxx/g2.jpg |
Andy, nice new body. That's the Proline Ford 650 ext right? How's the fit? Any major mods to make it fit?
