If it takes that long before it's replaced, you bought another one. most likely from another brand..

Persistance is the key it seems though. You will most likely hear something back eventually. Here, the US guys, it seems anything like MGM, or BK takes 6 months! What we need, is a contact that is over seas. Say like, send it to Serum, have Serum ship it to BK or whatever...lol

Not a problem, i will volunteer..

Well, mine was fixed in two weeks including shipping.
E-mail works only before shipping, once you ship it they keep silence...

Planning to send another controller for repair, this time via Mike, so we will see how long that will take.

This is why I sent my 9920 to him. Although, I still won't see it for 6mo! But that has nothing to do with Mike, it's BK. But I would think Mike can be more effective with his great communication skills and what not. So I'm confident, and feel better going through Mike as well!
I hope this problem will be resolved with MGM, but again, this is the whole reason I go through Mike! He gets the job D O N E!

Me? I actually ordered another Mega before even sending in the burnt one. I now have two as a result.

Too bad you need to do this at all.. With the CC service i know, they instant sent you a new one.. but when a company starts to grow bigger and bigger, i think they start to lack in service.. it's a PITA for them to keep up..

If they get that big, then one would think that they would be able to afford more help! :005:

I do know the quark customer service is alot more resposive than the bk.
I haven't got nothing castle yet. It is or should be on the way now.

Serum 02.09.2007 02:56 PM

I know Nieles, from this forum, contacted Quark for his burned 125. He instant got a new one.. that's what i call service.!

Well TBH these stories have admittedly made me weary of getting the MGM for my conversion. I don't mind buying a $90 motor to replace a burnt one in a hurry, but a $300 ESC is another story. I would hate to have to buy a second one just to keep me running while my main one were repaired.

I'm seriously considering giving a Kontronik Jazz 55-10-32 a try. For one thing, it will allow me to run 10S which is just what I want. And another thing is Kontronik have a good rep for their ESCs (even though not for car use), and they even have an official Kontronik forum on RCGroups which is great. At worst if it doesn't run nicely in a car it should be easy to sell because it's a very popular and highly regarded heli ESC. (I have two smaller Jazzes in my helis)

What about a kontronik 63V?

I always want to test one.. you can do it for me.. LOL

Aragon 02.09.2007 03:19 PM

The PowerJazz's lack of proportional braking put me off big time and I want to avoid mech brakes. It also lacks a "car mode" that the other Jazzes have - I think cogging might be a problem with it. It's also pretty big and heavy.

Kontronik are rumoured to be working on a Jazz in between the 55-10-32 and PowerJazz. With some luck it will have car support...
