She pretty ... :intello:

Looks good! What wing mount are you using on the rcm towers? Were they direct bolt on or did you need to do any mods to make them fit?
Mugen mbx-6..bolts right on no mods :-)
Truck is looking good, Kristian!
The shock towers accept Mugen wing mounts as well as Hot Bodies lightning/trophy series including the light weight V2 mount directly., Jeff. :-) |
Looks good!
I like the shock guards to! |
Thanks guys... Still waiting on the dogbone up front:neutral: then we are in business :yipi:
Ok gearing ideas please? I have the Slipperential with 58t spur and motor/esc combo from the new Maxx so 2200kv and MLX ?? Esc so where are we on pinion? Thinking 4s bash and 6s for exciting.. Ideas? 17t or maybe more? Thanks in advance.. Kristian..
I think around a 14t is a good starting point, assuming you have 1/8 diffs? This gets you into the low 40mph range on 4s - I would use smaller pinion on 6s, or a lower Kv motor.
Going with Stock diffs to start as I have a meet in two weeks Mike..suggestions please? Scriptasylum says WAY to High speed if I have the numbers right ?:surprised:
I'd drop to a 12t pinion on 4s with the 2200Kv motor and stock diffs - should yield high 30s mph speed, which is PLENTY for bashing and nice for racing.
Thanks Mike...where would that gearing put me on 6s? Got a few 3s batts on the way that need to be used
Umm...fast!! Mid 50s to maybe 60mph, depending on battery strength and tire ballooning.
Though if you ran them in parallel for 3s total voltage, the stock diffs would probably last longer and with a 16-18t pinion, you would still be right in the fun range(high 30s-40mph). :-) |
Appreciate the help! 12t it is...tho Will try the 6s for the heck of it ..those diffs need to go anyhow..
That's the spirit!
Haha, that is a good way to have an excuse to upgrade things :)

Working on a "looker" (historically, I have owned "runners")
I like them both. :-)

Can't decide which one I like better. :-)

Ummmm.... Wow! :surprised: Just wow.
Now that's what I'm talking about!
They look both good !!

swapped bulks

Swapped bulks between the chassis, swapped braces, CD skid and the CD top plate on the black chassis. I think these 2 opposing color combinations are keepers.
Very nice there! You plan on offering anodized packages?
I won't likely stock anodized parts as a rule, at least not for now. I may do black and possibly blue at some point. Custom packages have always been on the table for those willing to wait(and pay). :-)
Anodizing here is extreme expensive ( Netherlands ) .
The few trucks I have anodized were done in the US . I would pay for sure |

Loving the orange chassis Mike :surprised:
So finallly got her running all set for a trip to Copenhagen on Thursday ready for some proper track time :oh: Bang on the money with Revo bodies Mike ..this is the discontinued JConcepts Illuzion body..had to ship it in from Spain but well worth it in my humble opinion  |

Some amazing builds coming along here guys! Great to see
Since everyone else is posting pictures of their builds... Here's mine. I am planning to switch to the center slipperential and universal motor mount and the hybrid diffs, but I didn't feel like figuring out the center drive shaft situation and I really wanted to get this running so I could do some bashing with my nephew. So I went this route for now. I'll upgrade it later.
As it sits now :
As soon as the paint dries and I can get the body shoe gooed up inside for durability it'll get its maiden beating. Lol. And now,... since nobody really cares unless there are pictures, here they are. http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...pshmyrdpn7.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...psbmzufmpn.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...psvvq5va8o.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...pseuy1gjp5.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...pswnamjfme.jpg http://i66.photobucket.com/albums/h2...pssxltp4cx.jpg |
Bravo man! That's a good looking truck!
Looking great, Jeff - I like the custom ESC holder and short motor wires...super clean. Here is a quick tip: the rx lead from the ESC can be tucked in between the battery tray and chassis brace - safe and outta site. :-)
How's the truggy chassis edition coming?
I too love the anodizing btw! |
Still gonna be a bit on the truggy-style chassis(will likely be hard anodized) - remember I have to keep up with a couple hundred products while developing new stuff. :-)
Great! I am excited to see it! I was hoping it would be all one piece and include front kick-up. Can you give us any other developmental details? Thanks so much for this forum and the products.
Indeed, the plan for the truggy chassis is similar to that of a modern truggy - one piece with integrated front kick-up. :-)

Tweaks
1 Attachment(s)
Made a few minor tweaks on the V-Maxx chassis to accommodate the new center skid with 2 diff location possibilities. I enlarged the center opening(added clearance) so the diff assembly can be mounted more towards the rear - particularly useful when running the chassis extensions for optimum weight balance. Also, the chassis braces are now threaded instead of the chassis plate itself, and the underside of the chassis is cut a little deeper(adds pre-load to the servo saver and lowers overall Cg) - The tranny mounts are also no longer recessed in the top of the chassis.
Customization and choices are always nice! No rush, but how's the truggy edition coming?
-Zach |
Have some brainstorming ideas working for the truggy-style chassis, but the final design is a little ways out. It will likely be a fairly limited edition, though, as there hasn't been a lot of requests for it. If I can get what's in my head into reality, it will be pretty bitchin', though!
I think the request ist very low because not many Guys now that your want make a Chassis. Ich they now it they will wait because they want to see it first.
Is the Truggy Chassis longer then a V-Maxx with 35mm extension? And will it be a 1P or 2P Set-Up? |
